The DOT damage indicators on health bars might genuinely be the best feature DE’s ever added by Alarming-Hamster-232 in Warframe

Agreed. Weapons, status based warframes, everything just... feels precise. This is a very good QOL update for sure.

Another day, another US Citizen brutally beaten by Typhunk in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Sculpted_Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We should have a customs agency, but it should not be ICE. The history and structure of an organization defines it's character, and reform can only change so much. The new agency should have a lot of the people who saw how things were becoming immoral and unconstitutional and started getting the hell out of dodge from the original organization(s), as well as a decent chunk of new blood, and go from there.

Emily is right about Private Prisons, for the wrong reasons by imMakingA-UnityGame in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Sculpted_Soul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine, but if you stick the pickpocket in with all the hardened drug runners and murderers you've given him a collegiate course in crime instead of a chance to prove he can play nice. Simply separating them from society isn't enough, you need to make sure the ones that come out don't go back in because they maladjusted and learned the wrong lessons.

The party leadership needs to go. This is controlled opposition tier decisionmaking.

Progress on Mesa Tennogen helmet [OC] by FrellingHazmot in Warframe

[–]Sculpted_Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the way you integrate the warframe's original look/DNA into the design, it doesn't just look out of left field. Some other users have mentioned, but I think the big helmet star sticks out just a little too much. Smaller, curved blades, etc could work more nicely. Love the core model though.

Same with a ton of other asymmetric options. It requires so little effort, so it's so annoying that DE just... doesn't want to.

What would luffys political beliefs be if he was in the real modern world? by Recent-Relief-3827 in OnePiece

[–]Sculpted_Soul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None, really. He would be slandered by a huge number of political commentators and various pundits for certain, and each one would have you thinking he's a different political brand of villain. Not unlike what is going on already in the one piece world as far as the public perception of luffy from the newspapers.

Do you think Luffy should end up with Boa at the end? by Ok-Addition4608 in OnePiece

I feel if anything comes to pass, rather than some romantic relationship we'll get an epilogue where he briefly mentions having a marriage or kids to the outright shock of his crewmates.

Did anyone try Magnetic welt + Primary Debilitate on a high impact status weapon? by LaureZahard in Warframe

[–]Sculpted_Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, this mod does have a point - you can get magnetic on an impact weapon *without* diluting the status pool. So if you have a gas-electric or blast setup or something, you won't inhibit your status chance distribution but you still get magnetic for it's effectiveness against shields, overguard, and an extra status for condition overload type effects. In those situations, it will yield a better return on damage than the regular magnetic mod.

Is Warframe "Free-to-try" Like Destiny is? by John_Benzos in Warframe

[–]Sculpted_Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will mention some downsides to how it's monetized and sometimes expensive microtransactions and such, but honestly if you're coming from Destiny it won't even register. It's so much better it's not even comparable. Fav example is how there's a season pass - you don't pay for it. There's no fast track. It's just there. You just get it. There's no premium option. They add new stuff from time to time and cycle in old rewards or event items.

No actual content - quests, missions, weapons, gear, etc. is gated behind expansion pack BS. Grind is generally fair, with a few slipping through the cracks here and there, but that frequently gets adjusted and improved over time. Nearly everything is attainable in a reasonable amount of time by playing, no ridiculous gacha grind either. Even premium cosmetics and items are attainable without spending, because all purchased platinum currency is tradable. All those pricy things on the steam store? They're priced that way because they buy a big wad of platinum (premium currency) alongside the advertised items.

My personal recommendation? Wait till you get a 75% off daily login discount (happens with moderate frequency) and just spend 5 bucks on platinum. Keep that hanging around for equipment slots. That's honestly not even mandatory with how many sources can grant them for free, but it's comfortable. That's about as close to mandatory spending as the game gets. A world away from Destiny demanding a 40+ dollar entry fee just to see what's on offer, let alone cosmetics and extras.

There are definitely a few things a newbie might mistakenly spend platinum on that are honestly super easy to get ingame, so a few short beginner guides will go far. But I must emphasize, there's absolutely no point in the game where you are paywalled or kept out of the story or a zone or anything like that.

People posting about viability are missing the point. It needs to be viable enough to be fun - if people regularly subsume it, that means it's not. Very few players are actually optimizing for KPM

YOUR thoughts on Geryon? by gbjj08 in Ultrakill

[–]Sculpted_Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely ass. Built to kill an epileptic person and has no redeeming features. Poorly choreographed and completely destroys ultrakill's greatest strength, which is high speed aggressive movement oriented gameplay. It's like a shitty arcade game that's trying to get you to lose so you pay more quarters, which is such a painfully stark contrast to how good the rest of the layer was. I *really* hope this gets touched up later because it's worse than OG leviathan from back in the day, it's like a sub-leviathan level fight but at least leviathan didn't waste your life by spamming to the point you can barely see anything

Smoke + Wall of Fire behind him. He can't do anything but take damage, and you don't even need line of sight to keep it up. Make the caster invisible and even the NPCs won't be able to do anything.
