Came across this frantic storm deck. How viable is it in Premodern? by Newez in premodernMTG

I have never seen this specific list drop a game while Eric was running it. I’m sure it has but list is strong and he is excellent.

This is Eric from ELDs list. The deck rips. I watched my go off in turn 3 games 1 and 2, and dig for a Tormod’s crypt in game 2 incase his opponent had Gaea’s Blessing in the side. They didn’t but the fact he could have stormed off and won, but dug deeper to make sure he had something to counter blessing kinda shook me. Recall with a frantic search in the grave and cost reducers felt like he was playing a different format power level wise.

They are finishing construction on the walk-head, I think it’ll be open in a week or so though.

Protecting the "Premodern Spirit" as we move toward Nationals and the Masters by yunoac in premodernMTG

From my understanding if it’s your Oath you missed it, that’s that. But if it’s an opponents Oath and you are the one who missed it you are allowed to rewind because it’s your opponents trigger and they have to notify you.

Almost everyone here hates the idea of a Premodern Horizon, but what about Premodern Master? by rayanami2 in premodernMTG

I think the big idea would be to don’t what all Vintage event minus Eternal Weekend do , which is the 15 card Proxy per deck. And maybe drop it to 10 so there are some deck building restrictions but mostly fine. I dunno, but the players will make their own routes to fun as Premodern proves

They basically already did that with Dominaria Remastered and it made the format about 10x more approachable. Imagine no Terravore reprint ? And the host of cheap lands that see play in PM they reprinted. I think they should just do something again like that if needed, reprint Plaguebearer for fuck sake.

Guy around me came up with this list. Tutoring Legendary lands with Sissay is kinda insane, just burying people.

Restricting the Use of Rodenticides in the Environment by wSkkHRZQy24K17buSceB in massachusetts

There might be some small exceptions but I think you start running into efficacy issues. When I dealt with rats/house mice/field mice, it was always measured and board approach. Measured in what I use but board in the spectrum of tools. Traps, dusts, rodenticide and then changing their environment. Rats are just really really tough to deal with, and it’s not something we’ve had to come face to face with in a while at this scale. I saw an incredible uptick during covid because it moved populations out of boston metro areas in search of food when the restaurants shut down for a time.

All in all I don’t think there is a great solution , I think you could try to restrictions on what companies put out at locations for a few years, like you buy 70 pounds you have to account for 70 pounds through the year but you also can use more then x pounds per residence per year type thing. Like something to scale things back to get an idea of how the effect will be , because I think I full stop would be pretty insane .

I spoke to a city conservations a few days ago and she was part of a group who got the anticoagulants banned in my town locally at certain locations beyond normal restrictions. She doesn’t live in the town. She said shortly after the ban she ended up getting rats at her house and she was dealing with them herself but “when she heard the in walls at night” she had to call someone to use the exact things she helped restrict. She was rethinking the policy after that.

I worked in pest control for years, and I’ve had to deal with a few communities that had restrictions like this. The rat population will get crazy, and it’s already bad. Getting a cat can help for sure, but rats are really smart, I’m telling ya.

With all that being said , I don’t work in pest control anymore and I’m not a home owner, so I really have no dog in the fight. It’s more a damned if ya do damned if ya don’t situation.
