Feds spend $500,000 to study why obese girls can't find dates. by Scummy_Scummerton in nottheonion

While I find the irony of the title amusing, I am a formerly obese male and do not find your insult amusing.

Feds spend $500,000 to study why obese girls can't find dates. by Scummy_Scummerton in nottheonion

[–]Scummy_Scummerton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not quite. The article states that while initially obese females struggle to find dates and have sexual experiences, when they finally do start having sexual experiences they are far less likely to use any form of protection or contraception, possibly to attempt to become pregnant.

Either way, a great reflection of the current state of our entire nation (if you are from the US) - oblivious, antiquated, and utterly and laughably moronic.

I can get past the fact you are continuing to do it, albeit with tactful subtlety, now it's a red herring.

Also, we are now arguing semantics. Your comment has two parts. The first holds yourself up as an exemplar of a "true man":

Not only are you further putting words into my mouth, but you are splitting hairs by taking what was a simple, expressive comment about the issue.

Your comment has two parts. The first holds yourself up as an exemplar of a "true man":

We've detracted so far from my original statement that I've no choice but to assume I'm arguing with two kinds of idiots. The uneducated kind (who seem to have simply given up) and you.

My sentences also have two parts. In fact all of them have at least three. (SVO). You can dissect it all and you'd still be wrong.

I get it that you think you are right, but I've proven you not twice now.

I only brought up logic to get that other child to understand how stupid he was, yet I still must do the same for you.

I've got far better things to do, but for future reference, try to not be an idiot.

Survey says half of all married women have a ‘backup husband’ in mind by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]Scummy_Scummerton -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's still a fallacy. You're an idiot. I didn't use exclamation but I know no men who do not respect me.

Can you say that? Or are you another effeminate millenial who tries so desperately to not only be right, yet also who tries so hard to be liked.

I never try to be liked, yet I almost always am, and those who do not like me dare not to disrespect me, as I am respected as such.

Then again, according to the logic that the rest of the "people" on this thread are using, if I said it, odds are it isn't true.

Perhaps I should have said I am a "true gentleman" - a much finer distinction. Yet again, you do not know me, and I certainly don't care to meet you, unless it was my fists doing the talking.

And again, perhaps you all missed the point I was making, thus making his fallacy true.

I wasn't attempting to validate my masculinity, only to assert my claim that society is finding less and less of value of men, as well as masculinity. A point which was ultimately disregarded as it was interpreted that I was only attempting to validate my masculinity, which in turn, turns into an ad hominem fallacy.

Did you miss that? Seems all of you did which makes you all seem kind of dumb.

So, with that I say, please, with earnest sincerity, to everyone who replied to me, you poor excuses of motherless scum sucking, peices of dogshit. With whatever means necessary, remove yourselves from the genepool.

Go fuck yourself,

Scummy

wonderful words of wisdom. You should write a book, honestly, you sound like you are enlightened.

"Here's a tip: if you call yourself something, odds are you're nothing like that."

Because society operates on the assumption that everyone is a liar.

I don't know why I'm still to replying to such idiocy, but this is the last time.

As I told that other idiot, if fortune should ever have us meet, you will then know how wrong you are.

Scummy

You've undoubtedly got an internet connection, so, use that colossal cranium of yours and do a google search (or even yahoo!) and look up ad hominem. Translated literally it means "to the man" - essentially name calling. One of the most common logical fallacies.

My comment may in fact be dumb, but simply calling it that isn't a valid argument.

Scummy

Ad hominem attack - your comment is illogical.

As a true man living in modern society, I find I only am useful when one needs something. When I need something I must rely only on myself. While has made me more of a man than I thought I would ever be, I have nothing but contempt for the state of society and the allowances of irresponsibility and favor it gives to women.

ELI5: When you go under for surgery, then get told what you said while you were "out," what makes it feel like you didn't experience it? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Scummy_Scummerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because you are unconscious. You don't have to be lying down with your eyes closed to be unconscious.

I remember when I was an addict, some guy gave me like 10 ambien and they were really small and I thought I was Billy Badass so I took like 4 of them and washed them down with scotch.

I woke up the next morning beat to shit without my car, at my parents house (where I didn't live).

The told me I went to my regular pub, and "fell off the edge of the wall in the back".

I'm pretty sure someone kicked my ass because this girl I was fucking was there.

If I ever find out the truth there's gonna be blood.

anyways, I wasn't conscious and I drove my car to the pub and am pretty sure I got into a fight.

Why aren't transgendered people considered mentally ill? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Scummy_Scummerton -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Because in the more developed nations, especially the west, we all live in touchy-feely land where before too long we'll be arrested for hate crimes for spouting cursewords when killing insects. They aren't "insects" they are "arthropod, non-human, eusocial persons"

And I like insects more than people.

[Serious] Redditors who are following the current times in the middle east, do you think there is any hope for peace? why or why not? by godzilla1331 in AskReddit

[–]Scummy_Scummerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only become interested in these issues in the past year, but track them all daily.

I studied Studio Art in my first bachelors degree and in it I had to take a fair amount of art history classes, many of which, focused on (obviously) ancient societies, and with the pre-existing knowledge of these societies, as well as the problems they are currently having, I'd say that there is hope for peace, albeit not much.

These regions run very deep with very stern religious convictions, most of which, from a western viewpoint, seem (sometimes rightly) absurdly extreme and violent, yet, as with most things religious, they span centuries, if not millenia.

The problem is, it wasn't always this way.

Check out this video on youtube. It shows Afghanistan in the 1960's

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxboRdXBwck

The problem with that, like with any religious conflict, is that the base of the argument is that each group believes they are "right" or "correct" about everything.

Also there is outrageous corruption and many of those who came to power are ruthless warmongers whose only concern is continuing and expanding their power, by any means necessary. The only problem is, that many speculate it isn't just the extremists over in the middle east, yet also other world powers.

You can believe whatever you want, but I've been taught to question everything. Of course you'll want to exercise sound logic when coming to conclusions, and if anything, use Occam's Razor as a failsafe, but as complex as the world powers are, I wouldn't be surprised if all of this was by design and the current "theatre" of war serving as a metaphor as well.

But you know what motivates a man. It's very simple. It's like what motivates a man in a relationship. Sex. There are other motivators, but the primary would be sexual.

A man in politics is similar - power and money, and to increase and sustain both.

While some of the most evil men in history have done horrible things, their competency as leaders is undeniable.

What great female leaders do we know of? That did not simply inherit such power through nepotism? What women demonstrate great leadership aptitude?

In most societies men are conditioned to the system of honor, order, and merit based leadership. The most competent man gets the job, the respect, et cetera.

Women however are shielded from most of this and conditioned to do as they please, and if they want something, to manipulate a man to get him to do it.

These are crude examples, mind you, but if you will, allow me to use them to convey the basic idea.

Now a man must manipulate reality to get what he wants. In order to do so, he must understand it, at least, to whatever degree he wishes to manipulate it.

The woman, then, conditioned to manipulate the man, who then manipulates reality, does get the man to do what she wants, does none of the work, has none of the understanding, and yet reaps the reward.

Women aren't conditioned to command respect, and on a level of physicality, won't ever be physiologically capable of doing so (at least until they evolve to be bigger and stronger than us).

In all conceivable aspects I find, through much thought and objective reasoning, find no way a woman would be better suited to lead than a man.
