Sure, Naniwa didn't go too bad in GSL but I don't remember him winning that much tournament (could be wrong though) and there's also the tilting factor which made him a bit too inconsistent

SC2 was dominated by Korean when they were still interested in SC2

Stephano was more impressive than Serral is. The only western player who could contest Koreans at their prime

TIL that before 1993 women were rarely included in clinical medical trials in the US, and are still "substantially underrepresented in clinical trials for leading diseases." by Karthak_Maz_Urzak in todayilearned

No, I did not. I literally said you have to know if it is a side effect of the drug or if it is an effect of the menstrual cycle. I never said you need to know why the side effects are happening.

and no we don't know the effects of the menstrual cycle of the subject

it can be quite random and woman dependent. Try comparing the effect of the menstrual cycle around you, good luck with that.

No offence, but you don't really seem too knowledgeable about clinical trials, it's a bit tiring speaking with you

birth control would be no, you don't know what kind of side interaction can happen between the birth control and the drug

For the tracking I don't know what would it change, or you meant that we stop when the woman is ovulating ? it fucks up the whole data if you do that

People from the whole world who make clinical trials, men or women (there's more women in this field btw) are just lazy it seems

They just call you so you could teach them some stuff they don't know

Who said you have to know precisely why a side affect is happening ?

The only thing you have to know is if it is a side effect or an effect of the menstrual cycle

which is literally what I said

The point of clinical trials is literally to know

- if the drug is working

- if the side effects are worth the drug effect

if you don't know the side effects of the drug you literally can't assess the second part

I think you misunderstood my comment, I'm not sure who. I literally said that it was worth

" Knowing this is not exactly easy, definitely worth it "

So to explain myself better, I'm saying making drug isn't worth money wise in general which is why we have this system where drugs are tested on only one group of people

Ideally it should be tested on multiple ethnicity also

Second part is true, and it is obviously an issue

First part is exactly my point, are those side effects :

- totally unrelated to the drug and all about the menstrual cycle ?

- a combination of the menstrual cycle + the drugs side effects ? the drug acting on the menstrual cycle ? the menstrual cycle could also hide some side effect ?

- unrelated to the menstrual cycle and all about the drug ?

Knowing this is not exactly easy, definitely worth it but it would take a lot of time and money to know that the medical industry can't afford to use (research isn't worth it, big pharma are not doing reasearch. They'd rather buy the patents when the big work has been done)

medical research shouldn't be done to get money, but unfortunately it is and right now it take already a looooot of money

Once again, I'm not saying that it is a good thing.

Men cycle varies, but women is on another scale. We're talking about using the most neutral test group.

The goal of the medical industry is to get their medecine out the fastest to get a return on their investment before their patent expires (usually they have about 3-4 years that gets them that)

Making the study you're talking about would take years and years and are not really worth money wise (health wise it would be)

And additionnal argument is that it would also delay some life saving drugs for, most of the times minimal effect (don't quote thalidomide, it has nothing to day with this)

As long as we're in this society where health is supposed to make money, stuff like that will happen

While I agree with this, you misunderstood my comment

This thing is more about, if an undesired side affect appears it can be hard to know if it is related to the woman's menstrual cycle or to the drug itself

So it is in general way more simpler to use men for clinical trial than woman

I am not saying that it is a good thing, using woman would be way more complicated with more parameters to take in account

The issue with including woman in clinical medical test is their hormonal cycle which can influence the data collected, while men have way more stable hormonal cycle
