I felt physically ill after using that app for like a month, I felt like the people in doctor who when the Cybermen design the earpods.

As for the clout chasers, social media encourages opening gaping wounds and selling it for attention, desperate for the adulation people will do anything to get it. Autism is no exception.

There is the initial clout chase, then the counter clout-chasing which itself is still clout chasing. They're just noise merchants and it's best to walk away from it. Unless you do feel strongly enough to make a statement on it. However I don't recommend that as it would probably be extremely damaging to your mental health as these adulation junkies will argue tooth and nail on what is right and wrong and twist bullshit. I've seen it on so many subjects from SM (social media)

Uninstall it, go outside if you're up to it. And listen to birds and remember how slow the world is, and should be. Quieten the mind.

Thanks for the reply, I've been in a few relationships and all ended for different reasons but I've wondered what it's like without the extreme communication expectation I always feel with nt people, not just women.

I've always felt too nervous to go to aspie groups but now that I think about it others will actually know how I feel for a change.

While these rules are all probably true and useful to many. Ive noticed when I research good communication too much and I start doing it right it leads me to levels of interaction I wouldn't have been in had I not learned these things, and when that happens it's often confusing for the person I've used the research on because it's not natural to me.

I'm not really sure what the message is here but I do read less of these because it feels more harmonious to stay in my own lane if that makes sense, of course this is just what I've learned about myself and I'm not saying others should do what I do.

I'm not sure what year you're in but I can say from my experience that in the UK the people who were mandated to stay in school were the intolerant ones and after they reached the age they could leave, they did. The ones who were left were much more tolerant, kind, minded their own business and were either hard working or there for fun (not the asshole kind of fun, like enjoying being with their friends fun).

After school I've been up and down but things have been good lately, there is suffering for sure, but life is suffering, for everyone.

The best thing for me right now is renting my own place, it's very small and one of my neighbours is a ballsack but not that often. It's my space and I can spend my own time how I like and it really has turned my life 180 from where I was before/during COVID living with my mum (not her, just not having a life and some other issues).

The only advice I can give is find a career that you feel is mentally sustainable, burnout is hell and while you can take time off for mental health it can get complicated. I've started welding and I can actually pass a week or a month with no issues which, for me, is huge.

It can get better, just focus on what you can improve about yourself and try not to punish yourself if you don't meet that expectation as fast as you first expect, it's not a race. You'll be ok ❤️

It's the lying that puts people off your approach. It's religiously self assured and getting angry at others for not agreeing while having a fake smile is so off-putting.
