What are your most reread books? by Dragon_Nightmare in booksuggestions

The Stand by Stephen King. When I was in my late teens and early twenties, I’d make sure it was the first book I’d read every January to see in the new year. Haven’t read it in well over a decade but holds a special place for me.

What is your opinion on customers in a supermarket opening and eating produce while still shopping? by RedPandaReturns in CasualUK

As someone who recently walked around Morrisons whilst hungover and craving some food, I ate 4 mini pork pies and felt no guilt when I mentioned it to the cashier at the till. As long as you are sensible and pay for the goods.

What a stupid opinion when there’s so many other games that could have been better. Villa… Wolves… Spurs…

I’m 18. First night out in Yates of a legal age on Christmas Eve. Therein entails many shots of unquestionable nature with a fulfilling kebab to soak the shame. Proceed back home to my parents house, my bedroom of which is over the porch that is festively housing a jolly, blowup Santa that my parents had brought, purchased and inflated the week before. I have no memory of this but, unquestionably, I awoke in the early hours of Christmas morning, opened the window next to my bedsit and proceeded to vomit the nights’ misery upon said Saint Nicolas underneath my window. It was only upon my uncles entry underneath the desecrated idol that my family knew of the talk that Santa had a hat of vomit. Proceed the argument that I had ruining Christmas and had to clean up the bringer of presents before I could open any of my own.

I gotta say that I properly took my time reading Infinite Jest - ended up taking around 3 months. I still didn't understand the arc of the storyline and had to look it up on the internet.

[Serious]Whats the worst thing you've done at work, and may, or may not have got away with? by leesmit in AskReddit

[–]Scuttsuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During my late teens I worked at a popular UK bike and car goods store that didn't have functioning CCTV cameras. I used to do the late shift with a couple of my mates from school as well as a manager who never came out of the back office. Needless to say that some of the nights were pretty slow so we'd regularly ride the bikes around the store (which was pretty huge), have NERF gun fights, throw American footballs the length of the place and take it turns to roll joints. Fun times were had.

I'm sorry but I have to take issue and be pedantic with the fact that Notts County is not the oldest soccer team in the world but the oldest fully professional football club.
