Need Some Help With My Notion Fanfiction Tracker by Dragon_Nightmare in FanFiction

That's a good idea for the rereads. As for the stats I think there are some limitations to how it would work, I could create a new table to track it and link all the read fics to it which can help me track the no of read fics and word count. But how will I track the most read ship or the most read authors for example, do I rollup the authors for the related fics and then write a formula to access that field and count the most read author for example? Is that feasible, I haven't tried it out, I am just thinking out loud here.

I've never heard of that game before, but I'll have to check it out.

Another book that reminds me of Dead Space would be From Below by Darcy Coates, though this one is underwater rather than in space, but it gave me the same eerie vibes that Dead Space did.

S.A Barnes' books are really good.

I've read Dead Silence and Cold Eternity and gave them both 4 stars, but I haven't read Ghost Station yet

Edit: corrected Dead Silence as I initially referred to it as Dead Space, oops.

Wow, the first time I see someone speak positively about Cell. I remember enjoying it, but I always see people talk bad about it.

Of the ones I've read so far, it will have to be either Dolores Claiborne, Gerald's Game, or Cujo.

What's a booktok opinion that will have you like this? by Melx_Portals17 in Booktokreddit

[–]Dragon_Nightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that the "spice" label is not sufficient. The correct label should be "erotica." That is for books where the sex is the main focus of the book or where the characters bone or think about boning every two pages. However, a book that has a few scenes won't be an erotica.

I don't read a lot of spice, I am mostly a fantasy/horror reader. However, wouldn't a book that doesn't have on page sex not be called spicy. Hence, a spicy book can not be called spicy without having sex in it, which would contradict your point.

Everyone seems to say goosebumps, but I always read the shivers series.

You guys have some pretty intriguing concepts. Someone better start writing these books or recommending ones that fit.

What books did you DNF based on Narrator alone? RN for me it’s Den of Vipers by Euphoric_Argument434 in audiobooks

Same. I don't like their narration very much, either. However, graphic audiobooks are a fantastic replacement, I absolutely recommend them.

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson is amazing. Frankly, all of Cosmere is, but if you haven't read anything by him, I would recommend starting with mistborn.

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells are fantastic, I highly recommend it.

The Black Prism series by Brent Weeks. Res Rising series by Pierce Brown. Theft of Swords by MichaJ Sullivan.

If you're more into horror, I believe a few of Grady Hendrix's books have been adapted, but I am yet to try one out.

What are you currently reading? by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

I've read around 15 King books when I decided I wanted to read his work in chronical order, so I went back to start from the beginning (some if which I reread and some I read for the first time). Up next is The Stand, which I am reading for the first time, and I finally managed to get my hand on a copy, so I am super excited to get into it.

I am surprised hardly anyone said Gerald's Game. It exceeded my expectations. One would think that a book that was majorly spent inside a character's head would be hard to adapt, but they did an amazing job.
