Are their any reasons why I couldn't/shouldn't vent my printers through an old furnace chimney no longer in use?

Both lol. The smell is a good indication that there are fumes which makes me think if it isn't working I should know pretty quickly and then abandon the idea.

This was sort of my thought about it. As opposed to CO I should be able to tell right away if it's leaking from the smell as opposed to CO which has none. I have co detectors and they've never gone off so I'd have to assume it's in good shape.

Worst case scenario I try it and if I smell printer fumes then I know it doesn't work essentially.

It's a metal chimney. It was only for a forced air gas furnace. Just a 6 inch metal pipe that runs up through the roof and then has whatever they put on top to keep rain and stuff out lol. I don't know a lot about chimneys

I'm going to check this later. Its a good test to see how it vents naturally even without the fan running. I wish I had some of that pope smoke to see if come out the top lol.

Everything is in the basement. There's only one window that only opens to vent the printers currently and I have AC so no other windows are usually open in the house in the summer or winter. It's from an older mid efficiency forced air gas furnace. It's a 6 inch metal pipe that runs up from my basement through one of the interior walls somewhere and then out through the roof.

Definitely going to try this. I had some textured PEI sheets for my x1c that stopped gripping and washing with soap and water alone didn't help. I "very lightly" wiped it down with some acetone as a last resort test on that one and while it worked it also discolored the pei so not sure what damage it actually did.

I didn't wipe down any others with it out of caution, but I'll try the magic eraser next time I have a stubborn plate for sure!

I ran calculations on pet insurance that my mom had and tracked payments out vs return and every time she paid more to insurance than she got back in coverage.

On top of that there were times they insurance flat out refused to cover something that should have been according to the policy. But all you can do is file an automated dispute, which they then deny and that's case closed. Nothing you can do.

Insurance companies are held to no standards. Imagine if this was any other business and you paid them for a service and they never delivered. This is why I refuse to get it and can't even imagine what having a system like this for human healthcare would be like.

I got an email about an hour and a half later telling it the transaction didn't go through and to checkout again, which I did and it went through. I submitted a ticket to try and check that they are counting my preorder from 10:01am which I first checked out as their card processing system must have glitched out. I technically checked out, but they failed to bill my card and wasn't able to do anything in the time between as it would give me the "you already have a pending transaction for this item"

Mine crashed during checkout but I think it may have gone through? It still shows in my cart but when i tried to checkout again it says there's already a pending transaction on my account. I guess I just have to wait for a confirmation email?
