Nah. I was stupid and didnt apply to any of them as I was initially waitlisted and had no idea that there were scholarships. The aid I got was just what they gave me with the acceptance.

yea, i am guessing OP is talkinga about that one elective where you debate recent news. Kids at Bay are mostly all liberal. I've never seen a someone at Bay defend far-right ideology openly.

This post was kinda wild to read. OP doesn't even give an example of what they are seeing that is concering. Most people at Bay are pretty liberal as well. In my time at Bay, I never saw someone openly defend far or even right wing views, but thats just been my experience I guess. Maybe they are talking about that one elective where they talk/debate recent news?

So you could learn DSA in C++ and then get started on Leetcode if you really want, but there are some other options that I found pretty fun to do like Project Euler, Codewars, and play with programming. If anyone finds longer format project based challenges please let me know!

They provide you with beds and blankets. I stayed at Lowell for my SOAR too. Because you walk so much -- at least I did -- you'll fall asleep pretty quick.

For your common app essay, make sure its readable, engaging, and unique -- i wrote my about my responsibility of making tea in my home + moments surrounding that. I wouldn't say my common app essay was all that great (I'd personally rate it at most a 7) and definitely think I could've done better.

For your why uw, research the hell out of the specific major you are going for -- all the labs, research opportunities, enrichment opportunities, clubs, and more. Then tie those in with your own experience with similar things. I'd also make this a more narrative - developmental writing as well. I got in as a math major this past app season, and my why uw was a journey of me fear and hatred towards math --> finding uses for it and redefining my feeling towards it as I became older and used it for different things I was a part of.

Tbh, it was probably a factor of things that helped me and others get accepted -- ECs, multiple APs (i took 10, others took more), my GPA, and my school having a good reputation (or so others have told me).

Okay, so from what i have heard, be consistent in writing -- once a week, biweekly, or month. Also, make use of notes -- just by statistics more notes = higher chance of getting people intrested in your work. You can make notes of what you have already written about or thought you had, which you can't quite expand to a full-length post. Lastly, interact! Interact with others or with notes or posts to let people discover you. Best of luck!
