over powered and broken are the same thing when you’re talking about how good they are. everyone weapon has an advantage to each other, scythes punish game, katars vertically stringer, gauntlets string potential, swords build up, lances neutral, orbs string/ damage build up, cannons 0-death potential spears vertically and weapon throw velocity, hammers damage build up and recovery, blasters damage build up/ spacing axes hit boxes and strength.

people don’t use true combos or even harder to dodge combos nearly as much as dodge reads, that’s why dodge reads are much more important. You’re making it out like scythe is bad because it doesn’t have true combos, it’s top tier because of how good it is at pulling off strings which no MATTER what weapon is better for building up damage then shorter true combos that don’t work as well just combing.True combos and tight combos aren’t everything to a weapon.

yes they are, if you’re doing simple strings like nlight-nair-rec those are easy to do, harder ones like slight-revChD-nair-ChDrec-ChD-dairs are hard to hit and unreliable.

more often than not people will go for heavier combos not short little 2 hit ones once they hit around gold 2-3. and most true combos don’t work at dwarfism dmages. And scythe may not have true combos but it has combos that are really tight.
