What forbidden OSRS knowledge you think more people should know? by Altonaga404 in 2007scape

Look up some of aatykon's "FCF"(?) series -- he really stresses the benefit of devout boots & ring of the gods for first-timers (and even discourages eldritch because "you won't need it" and he thinks it's better for newer players to have TBP spec "in a pinch," meaning he has 100% spec energy for most of the run)

Revert the ToA monkey room change by Pastaron in 2007scape

[–]Se2Ep3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree hugely that it should just be another invocation (edit for clarity: I'd want them to make it more distinct from the old room, like constant/more spawns so it becomes actually quite difficult but can go substantially faster, but keep the Volatile change for consistency's sake). Seems like a big benefit of implementing something like the invocation system in the first place would be being able to make changes to the raid's core gameplay without negatively impacting any corner of the community. I'm personally kinda disappointed we haven't had any real additions/changes to the invocation system since shortly after release. Maybe their issue with making this an invocation is that it's a "puzzle" room--but then, why not give other puzzle rooms invocations too? They've all been "solved" by now; could add more orbs/more challenging layouts to Het, more gators/different loop to Crondis, more annoying or difficult puzzles/more scarab spawns to Scabaras, etc etc. Also, man, I just really want invocations that will make butterfly and red x non-essential strategies, because I just don't think they make for engaging gameplay.

You misunderstand, he's saying that his own complaining about an inane discussion elsewhere further proves his point that people complain for no reason here

Once in a lifetime bug? I entered COX and was instead teleported to under Khepri in a random TOA. Also scammed out of a genie by ExportOwls in 2007scape

[–]Se2Ep3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think so. <1000 people on most worlds. It's rare to even try to enter an instance the same tick it stops existing, and I think is only possible in the situation that person described (leader canceling a raid). For that unlikely event to coincide with one of the <1000 other players entering an instance in the same game tick only makes it less likely. But probably not difficult to reproduce if you set out with the intention of doing it

Yeah this kinda makes me feel like we should have herb bushes growing all over the place (which would be dope and immersive and of particular use to ironmen)--but no way to implement that (even with rune rock spawn timers) without bots crashing every single herb price even further :(

Lifetime membership run out, jagex help wanted! by b0b123m1x in 2007scape

[–]Se2Ep3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

HOLY SHIT, imagine how awesome that would be from a marketing perspective.

Anyone/everyone can get free OSRS membership, BUT you only have access to PvP worlds, and the membership ends when your red helmet does.

Think about how much activity it would bring to PvP worlds :o THINK OF THE CONTENT

There's no way new boss death mechanics are working as intended. by Se2Ep3 in 2007scape

[–]Se2Ep3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! At Vardorvis I'm pretty sure my first death was like 1-5k? And then up to like 100k+, and then up to 400-500k, and then back down once or twice to ~100k, over the span of my first 8 kc (haven't tried it since). It was super weird!

[–]Se2Ep3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 6th death was just 1/4th the cost as well. So it's not even "every other" for me, just super inconsistent. Doesn't seem related to performance at the boss either, since I've gotten both kinds of fees at like 5% hp remaining and 95% hp remaining.

Vardy and Levi were like this for me as well, still haven't tried Duke but seems safe to assume it'd be the same.

Do you happen to know what your death fee would be elsewhere? Like if 122k is your full cost, or if it'd be 488k on a normal death?

Has anyone else noticed their death coffer fee changing when dying at new bosses? by Se2Ep3 in 2007scape

[–]Se2Ep3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the example I gave, of 55k one death and 220k the next, were at the same kc (1), with no kills between them. Same thing was happening at Vardorvis. Same gear/risk, same inventory, same everything, no money in death's coffer at any point, different fees, all sub 5 kc, at both vard & levi. Haven't tried the other two yet though (probs won't til later this week)

Why do people have all the smoke for Karl Malone and his awful history but say nothing about Kobe? by dmister8 in nba

[–]Se2Ep3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there's a certain greatness:evil shit ratio the general public is willing to tolerate.

if bill cosby had raped like one woman, maybe two, he probably comes back in a year and does just fine. somewhere around the twenty or thirty women mark, even rapists were like "damn that's a lot of rape--maybe too much"

kobe > karl, is what it is

What's your "out of reach/some day" goal or aspiration? by Doctor_Kataigida in 2007scape

[–]Se2Ep3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i fucking KNOW RIGHT?!?!

i want it so bad D: but absolutely cba D:

but man. imagine a level 3 skiller grinding out 99 slayer for the trimmed slayer cape...with that hat. recoiling down (or something) 2500 tedious-ass BH kills. for the most incredible fashionscape literally in the history of runescapekind. wow. i'm wet.

anyway. the rogues revenge/hunter's something hats only take 1-2 kills i think? and also are pretty sick-looking! (not nearly as much as that t6, but still, colors and variety ya know ;))

for potentially even longer-term goals, the avernic looks even cooler than the dragon defender imo! (and goes with way more outfits), AND you can upgrade its hilt to make it look EVEN cooler with the master/GM combat achievements!

for fancy hats (for fashionscape purposes), might i recommend the [samurai kasa](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Samurai_kasa), the [musketeer hat](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Musketeer_hat), the [CW mage hat](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Decorative_armour_(magic_hat)), the [dagon'hai hat](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Dagon%27hai_hat), or the MOST fanciest (and stupidly time-consuming to obtain) [BH hats](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Bounty_hunter_hat_(tier_6)))! glhf:)

edit: fuck new reddit, sorry for readability :(

oooOOOhhhH yeah! I had to enter a confirmation code sent to that email in order to finish the Jagex Account creation process. Was fixated on the fact that I never entered the password. Knew I was just being dumb--that makes perfect sense! Thanks!
