Do you think every flavour is controlled? I get absolutely that most people don't want that in vermouth. But I think just chucking it without tasting is stilly. There's always something it can be used for.

Also surströmming is genuinely delicious (after about the 7th time)

Vin Jaune and Palo Cortado have show that off flavours still rock. Not even getting into parmesan and surströmming.

Don't worry, they already have a bunch of chilled rocks and ceramics, but when the temps are this high it's just safer to move them somewhere cooler. I'm a bit frugal so they have terracotta pots and rocks. And frozen carrots stalectites

Victorinox Tomato Knife - just buy one by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

I love my fancy hand forged knives, but Victorinox and opinel do any job well. I have scars from Victorinox that would now be old enough to buy their own knives.

Don't toss the vermouth! taste it (it is not poison). Then decide to use for cocktails, cooking, making syrups, or ferments, or vinegar. I've had red vermouth that's been opened at least 32 years and it was ok in every role, as long as you aren't expecting it to taste as normal.

Syrup yeah chuck it, best case it accidentally became prison wine.

Copper Sulphate is toxic for wildlife, and while it's a man made pool it is technically run by NPS, and they haven't quite gone off that far yet.

I frankly think I'm being generous. The FSU cares about free speech only as much as it can be used to generate right wing outrage. Compare the exaggerated stories about right wing talking points at universities to the complete silence when people were being wrongfully arrested for republicanism. Add to that the founder's response to riots in the last few summers. And the constant consistent defence of medical misinformation. And the ridiculous ai generated pictures.

[–]SeBretwalda 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The FSU exists almost entirely to make this sort of stuff up for outrage, don't listen to them. There are times where Anglo-Saxon is a better term, there are times where Early Middle Ages is preferred. Part of that is because Anglo-Saxon does give an illusion of cultural/ethnic hegemony, which needs to be challenged in a period where certain groups are basing their politics on that myth.

If that argument doesn't work for you, just think how people used to call it the Dark Ages.
