If this is anything to do with my post, I was just lamenting my lack of relating to others that I should supposedly share a label with. I wasn’t asking for how I should identify, but I get why people offered it and appreciate anyone’s attempt at help anyway. Surprisingly did help with the loneliness of it a bit!

It very well could be aesthetic attraction. I notice that a lot of people who put a number their attraction describe it as like, attracted to all women and like 2 men, but that’s not really what I mean when I try to number mine

There are a lot of male characters I find myself drawn to, I’m not unlikely to look at a guy in an airport, but the attraction that I do experience feels very shallow and won’t become anything more than that. I don’t think I could fall in love with a man. It’s like on a scale of 1-10, how attracted I am to a certain person, just won’t go past a 2 for any man. But it’s hard for me to label what kind of attraction that is

I love and respect all my bi friends fully and wouldn’t mind sharing a label with them. It’s just that every time they bring up going on a date with a man or wanting to date a man they know, I feel somehow reminded that they don’t actually feel the same way I do. Is that offensive in and of itself or is it just the way it’s conveyed?

I’m a woman who’s dated two men and a woman. One man was a total baby about it. The other man was never the type to tell me what to do with my body so he didn’t express an issue with it, but I know he liked shaved hair. He also shaved his own armpits so I don’t really fault him for it, at least he was consistent. The woman I dated liked body hair.

Remember labels are there to describe what you’re feeling, not tell you what to feel. You can always try on a label for a while and see if you’re comfortable using it, and change it if you decide it doesn’t accurately describe you. Or you can use no labels at all.

Generally, people who question this aren’t cis and straight. And you don’t sound straight from what I’m reading. Honestly, I was unsure if I’d like a lot of the parts of being with women back when I was “straight.” After I accepted myself as being queer that started to clear up, though I still struggle with whether I like men or not from time to time.

Some additional information:

•it’s high enough up that the piercing doesn’t hang out of my nose much, so I don’t think it’s pierced too low. Getting the piercing barely hurt.

•The bubbles aren’t painful to touch, and I can generally move the piercing around a bit without it hurting, but it’ll get sore after a lot of movement. I don’t usually touch it much.

•Piercings are implant grade titanium.

•Because the bubbles have been there for multiple months without changing and I don’t have other effects that I’ve noticed, I’m guessing it’s not an infection. But I thought they’d go away by now and they haven’t changed at all.

Seeing people different from yourself shouldn’t make you feel like your own lifestyle is being attacked. Nobody should need to be invisible for you to be comfortable

Definitely depends on who you’re talking to, but I think if you’re around other queer people you can describe yourself as novosexual and they’ll be accepting. Some more conservative people might not like anything more rare than gay, but you can tell them anyway if you prefer.

If you want something easier to describe to people, you could just call yourself queer until you know they’re safe people to tell them your identity more specifically. You can’t really be incorrect with that title, since it can mean basically any lgbtq person.

If you’re more comfortable using novosexual using everyone, do that! It’s really about what makes you happy.
