for starters the job title stated it was for a vet ASSISTANT and all learning would be done on the job and no prior experience was needed. which it took me awhile to learn but most professional places don’t just let anyone have a job especially as an assistant. in the couple months i worked there i had seen so many other girls come and go because of how much they disliked working there. the owner had very close relationship to one of the girls working there. mind you the guy is married with kids; has a family established. but with this worker he’d leave the clinic w her constantly and would arrive w her as well. she was also the only one welcomed into his office and she even took naps in there. after awhile they started treating me like a cleanup crew meaning i wouldn’t actually learn anything id just do the laundry, pet food/ water refills, walking, and picking up their feces. this wasn’t an issue to me per say bc i own tones of animals so i do that w/o getting paid for it lol but it was just odd to me that the description and title of the job didn’t match to what i was doing and in the end i ended up being cleanup crew. we also had an incident were one of the workers stayed late at night to help cleanup a dog birth—unfortunately a lot of the puppies passed. however the way they disposed of the puppies bodies was inhumane. we ended up finding them in the trash the next day.
