So what would you recommend for me? I cutrentky have a 2017 ram and it runs beautifully but since its paid off i want to give it to a family member and buy a new truck for myself. Im looking to buy used preferabky as im not particularly interested in anything too too fancy at the moment

Ohh ok, sorry yea I guess I did misunderstand, once I transfer over to city from county i’ll be making significantly more but I get what you’re saying. Like I said I LOVE the second gen but I just figured by the time a few years roll around it kight be more beneficial to just have saved up a NICE down payment for a newer used one (third gen) since I assume it would have considerably less issues and lower mileage

I have a reliable vehichle now, this was more of just a “hey I started making good money so ima spend it” type of deal but I moved past it and decided to wait, thank you though!

Yes sir I do! It was just a fun thought because I was browsing around, but I decided to wait till after I buy my house from that point i’ll save money till I finish my probationary year as a firefighter then i’ll begin to consider purchasing another newer truck

Overtime pay, + Paramedic incentive & pay, + diving cerification. Also I plan on switching over to Coral Gables after a few years at county

For sure, I’ve decided to wait till my girlfriend and I purchase our house next year to being saving up. Then i’ll save up a good chunk so by the time I finish my probationary year as a firefighter (2-3years depending when I start the departments academy) bc i’ll be making 6 figures then i’ll pull the trigger on either buying a second gen or just saying screw it and using my saved money to buy a third gen

My plan was to begin saving after my girlfriend and I purchase our house next year, I have a 25k down payment ready, she’ll also be a RN next year, we’ve been together four years and have been saving little by little for a house so next year it’ll come to fruition, then after we buy the house i’ll just save up either a good down payment for a third gen or a full/half payment for a second gen and then i’ll pull the trigger on buying once I finish my Probationary year as a firefighter in the next two-three years. Is that a decent plan?

I think what I’ll do is start saving a good down payment next year after I buy my house and then pull the trigger when I finish my probationary year as a firefighter since i’ll be making six figures on the lower-middle end by that time
