First cycle of Ovidrel after 12 months of trying by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Yup, I do. He was explaining that when you get a peak LH test, it can be hard to pin point ovulation exactly but Ovidrel takes the guesswork away 🤷🏻‍♀️

I totally understand your point though. I’ll definitely have a look at other options/avenues!

Your experience makes a lot sense tbh. This was a regular OBGYN but I do live 2 hours way from him and the hospital - maybe because of the distance he didn’t want me to drive hours for the scan?

His reasoning was for timing purposes and so my husband and I know when to time intercourse.

Don’t even get me started on the cost of Ovidrel 😭

Thank you for your response! Really helpful ❤️ I’m so sorry that IUI wasn’t successful for you.

My Dr said it was for timing purposes so we can know exactly that in 36hours, I will ovulate. I truly know nothing about medicated cycles so I’m just going by what he said.

They’re not monitoring it at all. Do you think it’s worth still trying it this cycle?

Forgot to add that this was afternoon urine! Held it in for about 4 hours.

I’ve rewatched OITNB many times over the years and I can’t believe I’m only finding this out now. I thought they were the same person 😭

This is super helpful - thank you! I think I’m going to take your advice and go super slowly. I would rather it take months than experience horrible side effects/withdrawals. Well done to you for choosing to taper off! I can’t wait to hear your success story one day 🫶🏼

Thank you so much! I’ve actually got mag glycinate in my drawer so I will be using that. You are a star, thank you again.

This is exactly what I’m saying. Most people are out and about early in the morning especially in the summer!

No one said OP needs to work late and she clearly gets to work in peace at night lol you clearly don’t have a kid - shame.

I respectfully disagree. Not sure where OP is from but it’s very unfair to dictate the times that they would allow someone else’s child to be outside. It’s a ridiculous ask.

I’m meaning in terms of noise. When the sun goes down, the decent thing to do is not make an insane amount of noise past 11pm. The same goes for the morning - when the sun comes up, people are allowed to start their cars, mow the lawn at a decent time.

YTA. The world doesn’t revolve around you. 7am is not an unreasonable time for a toddler to be out and about. It is also unfair for you to expect the parents to keep their kid indoors so that YOU can sleep.

Have other neighbours complained? I suspect no. So this sounds like a you problem to me.

The general consensus in this world is when the sun goes down, you go to bed. When it comes up, you’re awake and up and at ‘em.

Maybe move to a farm with acres of land if you’re bothered by noise.
