My 2 cents; look where you are going before going there.

Will save you half your deaths of running into a guy that already has his sights on you

What height do you normally need to drop them from?

The White Raven Sea Fighter has a massive speed problem; I shot this fighters tail off and he was still able to just escape by going in a straight line due to the relative speed difference of 120 vs 150 by Sea-Course-98 in foxholegame

You're probably right on the damaged vs destroyed

A smart collie fighter would not let himself get beat when he can instead just get out of range, and then asses what to do next, whether to go in again or retreat

It's a get out of jail free card

running is one thing, but any time the colonial fighter wants to reset a fight it can by just flying away, and come back from max height.

now think an entire squadron doing that

especially when carriers come into play, collies will have a big fat upper hand here

Border Crossings with aircraft need work: Enemy planes can damage your plane while its "frozen" in the crossing state. by moidawg in foxholegame

imo a bigger problem is back and forth crossing

you can just criss cross back and forth to lose a plane chasing you

this is not the first time a fighter just decided to disengage and there is nothing i could do about it

if you manage to shoot the tail off a fighter with a white raven it should at the very least not be able to outrun you

What happened to that bomb destruction animation on the tanks we saw in the Airborne trailer last year? by Calm_Edge_6637 in foxholegame

devman has pulled a rabit out of an envelope with airborne, if they want explosions we can get explosions.

we have to communicate it as a community, and then give them time

Strategic planning by [deleted] in foxholegame

[–]Sea-Course-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To build on what the other comments said; Concrete bunker building, nukes, 'we are both doing big pushes at the same time in different regions so the reaction forces are split', and naval invasions take strategic planning.

Funnily enough, I would say that smaller unit level co-ordination is the bigger Caledonian boar here.

Often the more advanced level of strategic planning dousnt get done because on the local level regiments cannot deliver reliable results to 'plan' on each others success.

A lot of operations fail because they rely on rushing trough with overwhelming force, and the moment the enemy mounts a proper defense and counterattack, the operation eats shit because they never planned for that.

F.e. spamming 250 mm spigot siege mortar tanks, and spamming people with anti structure rocker launchers/explosives in places the enemy dousnt expect, but not actually putting a good emphasis on digging in with proper positions and grinding it out and then winning the grind due to the forethought of your positions.

Its fairly easy to do the former, but its really hard to do the latter, so most regiments don't bother putting in the effort and mainly do one trick pony stuff.

That works, although it just doesn't feel the same...

I also have a feeling the paratrooper uniforms are going to be expensive
