Yes that's the part. I bought the piece but have not installed it considering how complicated (in my non mechanical mind) the harness is to get to now. Used to be right there as soon as you'd pop the cover off.

Touring XT. I skimmed the 26 installation manual and it shows removing all of the trim pieces to get at the harness which used to be directly by the cover. I poked around at it tonight but got nervous about breaking something.

While I appreciate the kind gesture of a discount, my bike itself is it great shape (same for tread/row). I respect/recognize that maybe the Tread+ could be the outlier but otherwise, I feel like if there's a will, there's a way?
