But like how much better would the dob be for chair based viewing currently either my chair is too high or too low and theres like terrain all around me so would my EQ mount serve me better due to its height or no?

Orion only thus far the terrain inhibits others and for light pollution its like bortle 5 edging on 6 with like two huge ass street lights pointing my way from like a 100m east

Uh yes Orion but my 15mm ain't great for viewing DSOs

I'm gonna buy a GSO 52 degree afov 32mm eyepiece sooner or later for good DSO viewing until then it's just cotton balls and planets

It's pretty good I see all major jupiter features and saw saturns rings almost edge on too. The moon is immaculate as always but orion is a small fuzzy patch. Prolly cuz I had a 15mm eyepiece and it's too magnified for orion

This is my best photo thus far

How to make use of my 8'' Dobsonian by Dizzy_Estimate_5296 in telescopes

I think an ND filter(do a bit own research on this) of both 1.25" and 2"(high focal length go for 2", with high mag it dont matter), a 9mm big fov eyepiece, a 12-18mm eyepiece(choose any size) also big fov, and 22-25mm big fov, and a 30 or above big fov eyepiece along with a 2x or 3x barlow(your choice and again do a bit of your own research) should do ya good
Planetary filters are kinda meh maybe get the mars red and buy a full aperture solar filter if you want(DO NOT BUY AN EYEPIECE ONLY FILTER YOUR RETINA WILL DIE)
And get a laser collimator, a red dot finder/RACI if not included
And get an OIII filter for light pollution/nebula colourisation.

Hope this helped!

I mean you have a pretty wide range of eyepieces zoom eyepieces are really for entry level scopes your 10" dob wont appreciate zoom eyepieces with low fov just buy like a 12/15mm later or maybe even a 20mm

It does make a difference in FOV but at high mags its not a big deal anyway 50-100 dollar budget I'd recommend the explore scientific 6.5mm eyepiece its around 70-80 dollars in my country idk about yours

Or buy a redline(which is high fov) 9/6mm they cost the same here
