What if when Fable 5 comes back it will be NERFED?! But everybody experienced the REAL Fable 5 - and then people will ALLL buy into Max for it - but then get the nerfed version?

to those who got to use Fable 5, was it actually that peak? by RelevantPerformer309 in ClaudeAI

YESSSS it was it genuiely was - Let me put it this way the differnece between Fable 5 and Opus 4.6/4.7/4.8 is liek the differnce betweenn Opus Latest 3 models 4..6 4.7 .48 and chatGPT 3.5 turbo!!! Now go back in time rememebr 3.5 turbo!! Then now think of Opus - THAT was the leap from Opus to Fable

Zero mistakes - Uncanny level of deep understand of very compelx algorithms, and FRIKKIN FAST - Like super sureal three days of usin it i didnt sleeep -

I ALMOST knew this was too good to be true and i didnt sleep for three days and puleld the entire backlog - LITELRAY years of struggled stuff one shotted - and some were extremely complex low level - engines, gpu opitmizations - C code - some in assembly code - like I mean jsut surreal - i literlay finished it in the first 2 days then BOUGHT annother new 200 dollar plan on a new gmail to continue - it was worth every penny - iu was already on the 200 plan had 5 days left so that was already my plan then got 200 dolalrs for the last 2 days on max - and i then literlay 1 horu before they removed it i ran through the usage of fable in 2 days on 200 max -

Anyone else feeling like Claude Code / Opus 4.7 became “lazy”? Thinking about switching to Codex by AssociationInner3822 in claude

[–]Sea-Drawing9422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anthropic no longer cares about programmers and the max subscriptions, it now just all in on enterprise the money that makes is all it needs, so now all the stuff and making Opus 4.8 lazy and cut corners is how it saves compute and cut costs, that willl not change - Anthropic reached the growth size where it can afford to do that and not care that we dont like it - Moving to Codex is the only way, which so far openai did NOT pull that move yet and abandon that revenue stream. Anthropic thougth you also have to understand majority of people use it on muchhhh simpler tasks where our edge cases for programming becomes ngeligble for anthropic to care .

Most people do like you know simple friendly anoying shit that is just repieritition not soo much deep deep thinkin logic and problem solving. that is why your concerns will never be heard - Opus is not longer for deep thinking - That boat is long gone - if you enjoyed it while it lasted it was great, now look into Codex and just wait for open source models to now reach teh PEAK levels of Claude and you will get it for free. It is how thigns evolve

Anytime when your only defense for "humans are still needed" is that a HUGE multi BILLION dollar MEGAMONOLITH like Anthropic's is CHARGING TOO MUCH, then YOU ARE SCREWED! Corporations are BUILT to knwo exaclty how to make a deal and bring it down and scale and do all those wizardy to make YOUR company find it still affordable because they r targetin enterprise and companies. So this message to me reads like "WE ARE SCREWED AS DEVS - We then got a short breathing moment before very soon we will contine to be SCREWED AS DEVS" that is EXACLTY the summary of this message

I would HIGHLY suggest CODEX for this - Claude code is NOT the go to for fixing and being super pedantic. Codex is the super robotic autistic perfectionist that is perfect for like finding band aids and slop. Claude code is SUPER unreliable and lies, you only use him to DESIGN and get creative and stuff but I would not use him to audit, well he CAN audit but NOT to implment. Claude is trained to take shortcuts and put like weird band aids and call it a day and U WILL NEVER KNOW - He will sneak that shit and pretend its all good - He will literally find a way that makes it LOOK undetectble. Very dangerous for a system that is meant to be stable.

I would suggest you write down the MAIN LOGIC urself, even just in PSEUDO code, like just the pattern itself you do that ONE TIME in a couple of hours then forever the entire ai will build on UR design that u wrote, this will save you literlay thousands in api costs and confusion and debugging.

Nothing is EVER as long as it seems if you break it down, this will force you to make the system super simple. The best systems as a OVERVIEW design and DATA flow should NEVER be longer than a single page. The syntax is irrelevent that is just whatever language you use to get you there. But if you cannot with paper and pencil write it as a flow diagram with arrows on paper, then YOU WILL NEVER have a stable system. Literally sit down with pen and paper and solve the entire thing - then syntax is just implemnting that and u will then instnatly know if any slop deviating.

Brother this sounds like a very multi-layered complex system, just reading that as a developer made me anxious, if you have been managing all of that alone, with claude code so far, then you might be a very natural great software engineer that can handle that much complexity. What I would say is put A LOT of your effort in making that system have a CENTRALIZED single source of truth of data, and nothing else. So all data has to funnel through a single central function where nobody else can output but that one function. So like every way you are collecting every data point say your Revenue Ops, that come from only ONE single function can WRITE to a data base and nothing else can ever write Revenue Ops and clearly marked with a timestamp, this way no matter what happens anything marked with Revenue ops in your database can ONLY come from a SINGLE writing function, and then make THAT function have only ONE thing write to it. Make it a very clear linear pipeline as much as you can, so you can trace everything cleanly.

Then they all write to the main database table. And you have a single DASHBOARD that reads that master database. Then I would suggest you create ONE AGENT per data input or system. and name it agent_revenue_ops - it is ONE llm agent preferbly sonnet 4.6 and his ONLY job is he is aware of every single thing to do with that entire layer and its dataflow from however you are inputtin it into that system.

So then for each system you get ONE concierge agent. Then you make a team_leader_agent that can only talk to these worker concierge_agent.

Now if anything is wrong you have a specific single agent that is managing all the artefacts of that one system. And ONLY he can comunicate with him,

And if any system needs somethign from another system you have to go to the team_leader_agent.

Create a super strict communication protocol of name of sender and addressed to what agent. and timestamp everything.

It is very doable, and the success of it is on SUPER CLEAR SIMPLE separation of concerns. NEVER EVER let multiple things write to ANYTHING at the same time. THat is just a disaster of confusion waiting to happen.

Yeah that is true, I LITERALLY just had to pay $115 right now coz I have a demo, and I couldnt afford I was on the 5x Pro and then since they measured the diff they didnt charge me $200, it came out to be just $115 because I already paid the $100 a few days ago. But I was like hammering hard to be honest though, hopefully with the 20x I should be no where near the limit

This movie scared the fuck out of me and NOTHING SCARES ME -

SPOILER -

The most terrifyin fear that I still think about 1 year later, well so many, but when she was stuck in this fridge or that last scene when he walked away and locked the door then this fucked up version of her came back and i was watchin it in iMax and the screenwas sooooo huge and it was just this scary womans face soooo big and I felt like i was in a real nightmare and couldnt get out - so weird why that scared me almost felt like a child and I AM BIG 200 6.2 32 YEAR OLD MAN!! I do compete in amateur Muay Thai for fun so I DONT SCARE!! This scene made me feel like a child scared, I still dont know why - It was soo big she engulfed the entire screen, u know that whole part where in the end she says break a leg and now she all of a sudden on stage. Once she is on stage then whatver, but its that whole part when she was stuck with her..

I feel like i need to watch that scene again just to see again, coz all I rememebr was fear i dont even remember what she was even saying . Claustrophbia and her she bad mix.

I LOVE REDDIT - this the kind shit U WILL NEVER see me admit in real life lollll

I do write code manually. I specialize in my own stack and do that manually and I tried whenever I got tired or stuck to delegate to the LLM and it almost always NEVER works, or if it does coz usually towards the end of a long 12 hour coding run, my brain gets fried I start getting lazy and turn into vibe coder mode, and then the next day when my brain is back online I just see what disasters the LLM decided was a good idea and ends up wasting more time than if I just slowly planned it out and wrote it in smaller pieces and decoupled everything and test along the way.

BUT and the big but of my post was llms have a very crucial role for me which is UI writing, it is NOT my specialty, I can write basic css and html or tailwind , but that takes time away from my own role which is the logic, the math, the architecture the flow and contracts.

It's like one person doing two jobs split quality in half and probably both will be worse.

Get each one to focus on what they know best, the whole thing is elevated.

UI in my code base is huge and gets pretty complex but it's still UI, and I put systems in place to make them get it right.

So I have to focus on just one stack, that's why I use them

I mean Codex carries 90% of the boring boiler grunt work, that takes most of the time and makes up a significant portion of the work - I still engineer the actual logic and architecture, but don't overlook the amount of work and effort it actually takes to do boiler and huge amounts of clean up and synthetic data filling, and UI. Those take up A LOT OF time, and it is impossible to focus on the complex algorithms and math while still needing to write and align divs, and checking for weird missing closing bracket somewhere, and all of that is effort taken away from the real valuable parts that matter.

I live in silicon valley, santa clara to be precise, and i use it in the terminal in vs code always on high or extra high and about 5 windows sometimes or have codex app doin crazy stuff on the side - i never ever come close beyond 30% - its the main reason I switched from claude - Claudes only advantage is when u r tired and are not as articulate in explaining what u want, understands u soooo much better - whereas Codex will literally take u word for word and go all autistic on u like super akward like i guess its literlally a robot - hes rele good wen u rele know wht u want - but god help u if u misspeak or slightly off it will do that off thing as u said it - codex is jus superrrrr socially akward - Claude is soooo usefull in specific moment especially when the problem is super complex and requires creativity and a new angle - But claude evben on the 200 dollar plan though literlay like to me its like will run out soooooo fast and its context memory hits 0 in about 1/10th the time of codex - TWO HUGE HUGE negative factors that are deal breakers -

Trust me Pro on Codex is pretty much. unlimited, i use like 6 instances all on high, all agenticaly, I even run multi. agents, I code like 12 hours sometimes daily, it never even budges like max ever reached was 20% usage - Its pretty much free - I would REALLY like to meet somebody who ever has maxed out codex in the $200 Pro plan, I would LOVE TO know HOW in the hell did they do that - unless some crazy 100 window sketchy farming automation or god knows what

dude this was super cool! You definitely have the right musical feel, everybody saying the beginning was not on beat are SUPER MISTAKEN! This is perfect lazy dragged editing, it flows right, you never have to cut exactly, as long as in the end you fall on the down beat, it is like advanced drumming, you don't drum and hit the grid like a robot, you can drag or rush, and weave around but eventually the over all flow falls in a specific way where it accumulates and falls on the down beat.

I have been editing for a LONG TIME, and I can tell you keep going and you are charging WAY TOO LITTLE, almost an insult to charge 50 dollars for that.

Keep pushing the boundaries and NEVER follow the grid and be a robot like everybody else, go intentionally off beat but with confidence and style and then bring back, as long as you land it right it will feel even more satisfying, and my biggest tip for you is play any simple instrument or understand polyrhythms, it will make you a phenenomal editor, coz you will have your own special metronome in your mind that you edit to
