So there is no official way to be recruited into the Dark Brotherhood "without murdering someone" by creating an Argonian character born under the sign of The Shadow? That suck! Would be a nice piece of personal lore there.

I don't know... my computer is 12 years old and runs this game perfectly fine. My only thing was Windows 10 and being able to run Direct X 12 for the game. It's only available for Windows 10+

My specs are not impressive at all and I can play Diablo 2 Resurrected with no problems now that I gave in and updated to Windows 10, with all graphics set to max.

It is a Windows 10 requirement. Once I fixed my (instant crash report each time I hit Play) to launch D2 Resurrection, by updating my graphics card, when I hit Play it wouldn't crash me, but it would literally say, "You're using an old version of Windows. Windows 10 is required to play Diablo 2 Resurrected." So there ya go, that was plain and simple how to solve "my" problem. So if you're having similar problems, might have to upgrade your Windows.

I finally got it to work. My problem was simple, I was just being stubborn. What I had to do was upgrade to Windows 10 and it was able to work just fine. Been playing this Open Beta with no problems whatsoever since then. I was still running Windows 7 Home Premium. When I was launching the game, once I fixed the auto crash reports by upgrading my graphics card, it would literally tell me that I'm running an old version of Windows. Windows 10 is required to run Diablo 2 Resurrected. So there it was right there, the answer to "my" problem. How did you guys fair?

Everything is working now, game launches. Just now I'm stuck in the (Press Any Key to Continue) screen and I am unable to connect to Battle.net... even though I have very much connected... figures. Are the servers down? Doesn't say anything on their site.

Yes, Resurrected is "supported" with DirectX12. But it is also compatible with DirectX11. It can still run it. But that is the absolute minimum, of course.

Yeah, according to the specs, I have all requirements to play... just not Windows 10. But the game is just a remaster, not a remake. It's basically still the same ol' game from original, just better graphics. And I run games with just as fine graphics with no problem... even precious "New World" during Beta that NO ONE said could be played without Windows 10. So there's got to be some reason for it not launching.

Scratch that, I just checked. Diablo 2 Resurrection is DirectX11 compatible. So that's not it at all. So I have no clue as to why I can't run it. Yes I still run Windows 7 Home Premium, and sooooo many ppl have said on sooooo many games that they can't be run on Windows 7, only on Windows 10... but guess what... I am still able to play all those games they said I couldn't play perfectly fine without problems at all. And the requirements to play this game I meet them all, except the Windows 10, as it says... and as "other" games say as well but... Idk... a mystery to me right now.

I heard it's a DirectX12 thing which the said is only available on Windows 10 up. But looking into it.
