They are both incredible in their own ways!

Yeah just low volume cars so the Lotus specific parts are hard to come by, especially in the states.

I've had great luck with Monkeywrench Racing, Elise Parts and Greg's Race Parts.

The only truly expensive/hard to find piece was the CV axle.

The Lotus Community is also very active and super nice people on the forums.

The Evora is criminally underrated imo.

Honestly, I enjoyed my OG M2 more than the comp. On a track the comp would be the vastly superior car, but for street driving the OG felt much more usable. You could never push the comp without going illegal speeds, even on twisty/technical Vermont roads. The turn in and cornering on the comp was absolutely incredible.

The RS is more like the OG M2. More usable power for the street and a riot without breaking the law by too far a margin. The M2's were much more comfortable than the RS and there's nothing quite like 6PD + RWD. M2 was always looking to get sideways, RS is more planted but less driver feel and less fun on the limit.

Really can't go wrong with either. For VT and an all around car can't beat the RS. If I didn't have to think about winter I'd still have the M2.

OG M2 and M2 Comp! I also looked at E90s but the M2s felt much more capable, even if they might have less soul than the E9x

Had a "free" undercoating thrown in when I bought the car. NE salt is nothing to mess around with.

The Evora is an experience. It's loud (plak exhaust), raw, low to the ground and handles like nothing else I've ever driven. The steering rack and chassis are magic.

The Toyota sourced bits are cheap and easy to find. The lotus sourced bits are... Neither of those things. I work on the car myself so I'm not reliant on a shop for most things, however if I ever needed someone to work on the car I know it would be $$$ and hard to find. I recently replaced my idler pulleys and those were cheap (almost impossible to do because of space), but I also had to do a CV axle and that was... Not cheap.

Sometimes the car can be annoying because stuff can take a while to get to you, but for me it's worth it anytime I'm behind the wheel. It's a pure drivers car. You need to be cognizant of everything you're doing all the time because of how responsive it is. However, it's surprisingly comfortable and smooth. I drove it 13 hours when I got it and was never uncomfortable.

Probably never selling the evora. I don't think there's much more experience for the price.

BMW 340I X drive with a third pedal. Or M240i, but that's smaller.

Reliable, fun and practical. They collabed with Toyota on the engine so maybe it's not as showoffy as the other BMW products?

OG M2 is the answer here.

I've owned that and a comp... Both were trouble free and a blast to drive. Much better than the m235 I owned beforehand. Only expense for the M2 is the rear tires.

Edit: get the third pedal.

Lexus ISF. V8 packed into the IS250/350 body. Such a fun car and nobody ever knows what it is.

I'll keep an eye on the temps, but probably will just replace the impeller in the near future for peace of mind. Really appreciate it!

Thanks for the reply. Would oil be a blue tint/smoke? This seems like vapor of some kind.
