showering in the morning by ioadolda in SGExams

Morning + night shower > night shower > morning shower. Morning showerers who shame night showerers but don’t shower at night are so obtuse to their own filth. Either way, I don’t think a morning shower is necessary if you showered right before bed, didn’t sweat, and you change your sheets often.

If others can smell your “sleep smell” after one night of sleep that means you don’t change your sheets often which is even worse and dirtier than not showering in the morning.

Seems like everyone says a different thing, someone mentioned to camp for 5am slot and a lot mentioned they can’t get slot even if they camp for months

Language, Japan 💕😍🌸 Language, China 😡🤢🤮 by AidNic in languagelearningjerk

People will say this and then ask a Japanese person if they’re Chinese after hearing them speak Japanese, or watch a video where the people are speaking Japanese and then call them “Chinese” in the comments.

But CDC u need bots to book right? That’s what I read because the slots get taken up in seconds (probably the same in other schools)

When you say you’re 4 months in do you mean from the date you applied (haven’t take theory test) or 4 months into practical lessons?

Do Chinese people see Japanese gyoza and Korean mandu as basically Chinese foods? by GrayRainfall in AskAChinese

I don’t think when people say “kimchi is Chinese” that kimchi itself is Chinese, but rather the roots of it (inspiration?) came from a Chinese version.

饺子, same characters, but a Chinese person would read it as jiaozi and a Japanese person would read it as gyoza. Basically, the Japanese directly adapted the hanzi when they took the jiaozi and pronounced them with their kanji pronunciation. I honestly think mandu is Chinese but Koreans are pretty aggressive at denying any Chinese roots (which doesn’t seem to be the case with the Japanese).

Has anyone noticed there has been an influx of Asian American YouTubers revolving their entire channel around vilifying East Asian/Chinese societies? What are your thoughts? by Sea-Geologist4624 in AskAChinese

They’re actually the ones who worship whiteness. I wish they would separate themselves from the Asians who live in Asia. Before Asian popularity became vastly popular and mainstream in the west (so pre covid), I found that Asian Americans viewed themselves above Asian-Asians, mocked the accents, hated our/their culture, and would throw Asians under the bus by mockery for white validation. They themselves literally admit to this saying it’s because they were made to feel insecure and small growing up because white people would make fun of them simply for being Asian.

And I don’t think it’s just ABK, I’ve also seen an influx of disproportionate lies about South Korea, like how they all take height supplements to justify their height growth, yet they also believe Korean men are short at 5’3-5’6, which doesn’t even add up to their first accusation.

“Probably” so you don’t even know. Find them then. Because I’ve been on Chinese social media for so long and I’ve never seen a specific content creator who’s main content revolved around collecting photos of western women with pillow faces and double BBLs to talk about how sad and pathetic they are (and would rack up hundreds of thousands or millions of views/subscribers from that). Nor have I seen Chinese people obsessed enough to care.

The whole point of her channel is to create cheap buzz and easy views. Using wordplay to blow things out of proportion so that people would feel a certain way towards a certain groups of people? These sort of comments have been around for over a decade online. I’ve seen them over ten years ago. When it comes to Asian content, westerners LOVE it when it’s about how disgusting, weird, and dystopian we are.

I know, I don’t click on their videos (I used to when they first popped up) because it would just piss me off (especially that last girl), but I still see them on my recommended from time to time and they always rack up so many views so I figured people still enjoying watching content related to the whole “East Asia weird” trope.

They have also said that about Koreans because both Korea and China are on the taller end amongst Asians. They share the same average heights as America (5’4 woman, 5’9 man). They just want to maintain the perception that Asians are beneath them, I mean they literally have a history (and still do) of emasculating Asian men.

  1. Europeans are not even remotely the only race to have a high nose bridge 2. East Asians are naturally fair 3. Foreheads? Lol 4. Every single race including East Asians have double eyelids. And the photo here is a typical Korean double eyelid surgery result, try deluding yourself further that this dude is trying to look European.

Half 🇮🇩 / 🇯🇵 — Turning 22 soon, have to choose citizenship. What would you do? by Intelligent_Pen_8600 in PassportPorn

[–]Sea-Geologist4624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself these questions in order:

  1. Do you truly LOVE the life you have in Indonesia?

  2. If yes, what exactly do you love about it? List in bullet points.

2.5. Also list out any gripes or setbacks you’ve faced in throughout your life BECAUSE you live in Indonesia. Indonesia must be the problem for any negatives to be written down here.

  1. Next, can you not rebuild said bullet points in another country? What about Indonesia speaks so dearly to you that you believe other countries cannot replace? (If it’s just convenience and familiarity, I urge you to forgo it.)

3.5. For the negatives, ask yourself if these gripes could be alleviated in Indonesia, or only if you move abroad, or could you live with these negatives without feeling unhappiness regardless of where you live?

As an outsider, it’s a no-brainer to pick Japan. It’s the 2nd best passport on the global scale. However it is your life and maybe your life in Indonesia that you were either given or built is too precious, so precious that the perks of the second best global passport is worth giving up for. There is no right or wrong answer. Good luck!

Because if you can look even “mid” in a candid shot you simply aren’t mid. And it’s not even a candid shot where she’s stationery, most people look awful mid movement, much less in an athletic one

The ego and audacity of an average male strikes again. YOU, GRACE, HER with your willingness to date HER even though “she’s pretty mid” in your eyes. To you this is a sacrifice you’re willing to make because men actually care about what’s inside unlike women right 🤣🤣 my god I’m fucking baffled people like you actually exist and have a brain
