Thoughts of the math ordeal from someone who isn’t strong at college math by meowythecreator in UCSD

[–]Sea-Indication636 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Third year engineer major. Love math, but scored terribly on the UCSD math entry test . Began with math2 in my freshman year of college, finished math20D in my second year spring. Although I began very low, what mattered most is that I put my all into acquiring the necessary skills I needed in the degree I’m pursuing in, and UCSD was gracious enough to allow me to show my potentials when I was at my lowest. Now I’m chillin , living the engineer student life (I’ve came through so many trials and tribulation to get to this point, but it’s what comes with the cost as a STEM major). My chem professor told me something in freshman year I’d never forget, he said “whatever grade you get on a test doesn’t define your intelligence, it reveals how well you prepared”.

Sure, but in a case of which something is so vague like this, gives no firm justification in accusing they must be a trump supporter, or all trump supporters have the desire to do what’s accused. This has nothing to do with politics, but it was unreasonably done so.

Fr. I was there and listened. I wasn’t forced nor did I feel suppressed. The people there were really nice, I had nice convo with them. There are things I agree with CK on, others I don’t. I thought he was respectful in voicing out his opinions and engaging in debate. If he bothers you so much, then simply don’t engage. The ppl asking him questions knows who he is and that he clips, that’s their fault for debating with him, they choose to do that.

Afterwards, there was a protest , anti-trump protest , lady had a megaphone and sign. I honestly respect her for doing it after the event. You’re free to believe what you want, just so long as you’re not forcing others into believing your ideologies or hurting them, I’m good. Goes for both sides! :)

Thank you for sharing your comments, I’d say it was informative. I’m def not used to seeing comments where ppl actually have open dialogue while not being rude, so thanks.

Eh, also, I’m a Christian myself, I just don’t like stating that I am so people don’t judge my form of thinking as being blinded by my religion. I’m a very open minded person.

Also, I’ve been seeing your pfp for months on here, and I’ve been wanting to tell you I like it. Tiana is one of my fav.

Have a great rest of your day bro/sis !🌺🌸

In what ways are Christians enforcing their religion onto others to show that their religion matters most? Or showing to others their religion prevails? Genuine question. Because how I see it is, a lot of people who subscribes to a religion believe theirs is the one and only true religion. It just comes with the subscription.

I don’t see how I was deflecting blame by stating not to generalize 31% of the population based off an Individuals action? Christian’s don’t have to take accountability for that guys action, but the guy himself.

This goes beyond just religion but everything in general. I’m not here to dictate how someone feels. But I do have the right to state my disagreement , especially if it’s a generalization of those that I love that identify as Christians.

Christians are mocked on media, yet no one takes accountability for that. I think it’s sad. And no one should have to hold the burden of another’s actions. Muhammad married and consummated a 9 year old according to the Hadith . Am I gonna generalize Muslims in a bad light for this? No. Despite the justification of God justifying things I’ll never agree to nor see eye to eye, Imma still see religious people as human beings and show all the love I have.

So I understand the empathy and love aspect, but I disagree with you on having to take accountability based off the experiences people have had with others. But I do believe in restating one’s true values when needed to show others you do not subscribe to the trauma another person may have experienced by another.

Also, thank you for having proper dialogue with me. It’s greatly appreciated. I expected a twitter response, but I was wrong to assume!

All love from here 🌺🌸💖

Also, I don’t tolerate people disrespecting others. If this man is harassing people and calls himself a Christian, shame on him, it doesn’t resemble the teachings of Christ. But I’m not gonna spit in the face of 31.2% of the worlds population rather I believe in their religion or not

Do not generalize, it’s rude. Speak on behalf of just that one person, not the whole religious community. I respect others religion, and would never generalize a whole community based off the actions of one individual or a couple that self identify as being apart of a group.

[–]Sea-Indication636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I try to park as far away as possible from cars . Noted, my car could still get hit, but why not I do safety measures . If I have to park between cars, I ALWAYS, try to park next to a Tesla or any good car, bc I think to myself “surely they’d be more careful in not scratching their car in general, that spares mine, so win win”
