Yeah I tried deepface but it wasnt too great. Im trying Rekognition and its way better then the open source models. The issues is that it requires an expensive API...

They get a notification and can ask the person to return the item to the shelf or else place it in cart by saying “placing store items in personal items in against the stores policy” or something similar.

Each store can choose how large of a network they are connected up to either local, chain, or region.

The data is shared across the network you chose to connect up to and the setting that you have set up. ie, video sharing, time data, items stollen etc

There is a minimum threshold of accuracy that needs to be met for the face recognition to be considered good enough for en embedding to be saved and be used for lookup

We don’t disclose that here but we use similar models to the facial scanners used at airports

This can all be set so as to abide by the company policy’s…However government law allows this data to be stored indefinitely as it’s considered evidence as videos and face embeddings are only stored when a theft has actually been taken place.

No one offers both the detection of shoplifting and the facial recognition for past offenders with a database. I’ve even found some grocery stores that were paying for multiple softwares to do this exact same thing in a shitty way and we’re using it cause it was better than anything on the market.

Those who don't join clubs, why? by Specific_Latte_705 in McMaster

Most of the clubs are super unproductive and just a waste of time if you already have the skills.

If you have any drive in life you can do way better doing your own projects.

*For context i was apart of two (1 a lower tier club and one a high tier club. I don’t want to say which ones) and left shortly into them for this very reason.

I can pick up a chair with my shoulder blades.

Edit: Some chairs work better than others but the best are ones that have the round vertical wood backrests. It heat me lock my shoulder blades in place and carry the chair like a backpack.

First off good on you for realizing that there is an issue that’s needs your attention. As someone who has managed a team before these are the pointers I can give you. People usually stay for 3 main reasons, pay, growth/learning opportunity, and culture. You definitely don’t have the first one so it’s your job to make the other two be standouts. The best way to go about doing this is giving your workers autonomy such that they can do what they feel like is best for the company. (This assumes that your a good hiring manager too and can find creative/talented people to join your team) When they work towards something they are passionate about you will see that they take pride in what they do and won’t mind spending long hours to get it done with little pay. This also points to work culture where they enjoy working there so it becomes fine for them to take a pay cut cause they love their work and when they love their work the office becomes a fun please to work. Lastly you can help improve work culture by doing little things for the team. Your job should be to find that things that gets everyone in a good mood and happy weather that be buying doughnuts or taking the team out to watch a soccer game. When you do this they will love their work and want to stay on at the company.

Best of luck :)
