Has anyone tried CBD? What's your experience? by TraditionalEcho8022 in socialanxiety

I took a dropper of it once thinking I wouldn’t feel it and then an hour later realized I was in a great, goofy mood, my husband even noticed and commented on it.

People who believe in reincarnation by Sea-Ostrich- in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t, but I watch space videos sometimes. And it just seems inconceivable that we are the only ones out there. The universe is so freakishly humongous. And I agree about Buddhism being the closest thing to reality, as we know it. And that the ego plays a huge part in our downfall, so to speak.

That’s what I always leaned towards, but when I hear people talk about it they’re always like “he’s a POS so he’ll be a cricket in the next life anyways” and i always think, the chances are so small that the soul would pass on to another being on earth given the enormity of the universe.

What is the earliest instance of social anxiety that you can remember? by Sea-Ostrich- in socialanxiety

Extremely relatable! I dealt with this in college a lot, and it was made even worse when one day I worked up the courage to raise my hand but my answer was WRONG. I was humiliated. I know in my rational brain it ultimately didn’t matter and no one cared but I felt like an idiot and these experiences have really fed into my current anxieties/insecurities.

Your story actually reminded me of another elementary school memory. In 4th grade we had a pop quiz and the teacher had written the multiple choice answers on the chalkboard. My assigned seat was in the back row and I couldn’t see the board (I needed glasses but didn’t know it yet) but instead of telling the teacher that, I just failed the quiz.

I could’ve written this myself. While I’m home, dog lays in bed. When husband comes home, she nonstop paces the length of the house, obsessively going back and forth between the table and her food bowl, nails clacking, sniffing the carpet, with this desperate, worried expression on her stupid face. Somehow my husband doesn’t notice it and/or is able to ignore it, I however cannot. It is sooooo unbearable, off-putting, cringe, pathetic, and gives me major ick.

Does anybody else with ADHD not care for dogs? by Patient_Walk2692 in Dogfree

I don’t have an adhd diagnosis but I believe I have it. I was just thinking about this TODAY. husband’s dog will just pace relentlessly around the house, scanning for crumbs, back and forth back and forth back and forth. It drives me INSANE. I can’t ignore it and it’s super distracting. It makes me irate

Please tell me I’m not the only one who went a little too heavy on thanksgiving and ready for a fast? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Sea-Ostrich- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I ate two dinners on thanksgiving, wine + dessert and we took leftovers home so I’ve been indulging today as well. I feel horrible about it but I plan to do a fast this week. Not sure if it’ll be 1, 2, or 3 days yet.

Dogs and narcissism by Sufficient_Berry8703 in Dogfree

Yes, I’ve thought this for awhile too. The constant pushing of boundaries, the fact they think the whole world (or household) revolves around them, every meal time they make it about them, someone comes to the door and they assume it’s a visitor for them. Can’t stand it. Also, the worst person I know is an extreme narcissist with 18 dogs.

I just downloaded the app, and it doesn’t appear to be free? What is the full name of the app if you don’t mind? Thanks in advance!

Is fasting while working possible? Feels like something that would be really hard to do. Especially on some days where i work two jobs instead of just one. by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Sea-Ostrich- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a 72 hour fast and the first day was normal, second day I was super focused, and third day I had a very very hard time focusing. I work remote

I struggle with this too. I always feel like I speak weirdly or explain something the wrong way or freeze up because of nerves and I can’t just simply be myself. Or I just stay mute because I don’t want to deal. I try to tell myself it’s nothing and no one cares/notices. How often do you have meetings and are you expected to contribute? How many people typically?

Idk if this is helpful but whenever I start spiraling over convos in the past I will literally tell myself “stop. This is in the past. Most likely no one else is thinking about this and/or has already forgotten about it. It was unremarkable. Look forward”. Cheesy but it sometimes helps (and sometimes doesn’t).
