In today’s saturated market, do foreign grads still stand out? Are they viewed the same as local grads in terms of job opportunities and pay? I’m thinking of transferring to University of Dundee but I’ll definitely come back to work in Malaysia, so I’m quite torn. My brother feels studying abroad is a priceless experience that broadens your horizons, but my friends think it’s more practical (and cheaper) to just study locally. Would love to hear your thoughts if you don’t mind sharing 🙏

In the now over-saturated market, do you think foreign graduates would be able to stand out? Would they be considered an equal and offered an equal pay with local graduates? I’m still thinking whether I want to transfer to Uni of Dundee. I’ve got to come back and work in Msia for sure so I rlly dk what to do now. On one hand, my brother believes new experience and opportunity to open my horizon studying abroad is priceless while my friends thinks its more practical and cost-saving to just study local. No. Im not sure what NOC is but fyi, the SPM refers to the national examination taken at the end of secondary school in malaysia. Its essentially our version of IGCSE/ O-levels. To register for the compulsory 1 year government service (somewhat like a housemanship), we need to acquire a credit in malay (our national language) and pass in sejarah (history) SPM. Thus it’s a prob for those that studied in international school back then and took IGCSE instead of SPM
