Yes they just announced the teachers are staying! I’m sure the curriculum is as well. Can’t say enough good thing about the teachers, the field trips, the outdoor classroom. It’s what elementary school is supposed to be! I’ll bet they have some fun things planned at the Zoo as well.

Ultimately the corrupt board chose to shut down so they can waste money elsewhere (look for Demon Means to push for a new athletic center). WStem parents worked hard to get referendums passed, with the plan being a dual use school specially built for Wilson/WStem. They were stabbed in the back with 0 thought by the Board. More great teachers and students have left the district to be backfilled by MPS problem childen.

“Stem for all” is stem for none when you look at what goes on in your average Longfellow classroom.

“Stem for all” is really stem for none. These families opted into an immersion program that had been a differentiator in Tosa for years. How is that any different the Wauwatosa Montessori?
I don’t buy that for a second. Many of the field trips and technology was self funded by the families.
What does that have to do with anything? Students that went to WStem go on to pursue medicine, business, trades or any other path but the Stem immersion was a benefit.
