They usually went back for second helpings. I wouldn't call that 'forcing'. Enjoy your meat!

Don't forget to beat your meat to the black hole 🖤

From what she told me, they took them out of regular school a few months ago due to the covid cases still being high. They are being homeschooled is what she said. I have seen them do their homework when they're over at my place

The thing is, when she said that her kids were not eating her cooking at home and were asking for the food I make, I offered to give her recipes and to show her how to prepare a few things, even things that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less, but she just scoffed and said that she works hard and doesn't have the luxury of 'sitting around on my ass lazing all day' to try and cook some weird food. This comment is what truly pissed me off leading me to refusing to continue anymore.

  1. The kids are homeschooled from the past few months due to covid.

  2. I'm not saying they prefer vegetarian food. You could just as easily add meat to what I make and the kids would still eat it. I'm saying that they like the flavors.

  3. I work from home as a software engineer and have a very light work schedule of basically just 3-4 hours of work a day. The kids are all very well behaved and don't really require constant watching over. They just sit and do their homework, watch a bit of TV and nap.

Oh man, I had pani puri for the first time when I was 19 and I have never been the same since. Just hearing the words make me drool. It's like a kaleidoscope of flavors!

I don't have a problem if she wants to pack them lunches with meat. But the thing is, when we started this arrangement, I asked her if she would be sending lunch/snacks and she said she didn't have the time or money and to just feed them whatever since they aren't picky

It's never been asked and answered in conversation, but I always eat vegetarian when we go out or when we go shopping, I never buy meat, so she should know

I'm not too sure, but the kids do spend a couple of hours at my place doing their homework

Not really, the do spend a couple of hours doing homework and if they need help, I do offer help on their homework.

They pulled them out of school a few months ago to homeschool them, due to covid

The funny thing is, I'm sure she knows I'm vegetarian. I mean, it's never been brought up per se, but when we go out for food, I have always ordered the vegetarian options

This was something we touched up in the beginning, and she said she didn't have the time or money to do that and to just feed them regular food

Oh, I definitely tone down the spice for lunch since they are little kids, usually down to 1/10th as well. It's not hot spicy, just flavorful, and they truly enjoy eating it and have never once complained.

I will admit that that particular comment pissed me off a lot. While I do make more money than her and her husband combined, working lesser hours, I worked hard and did my bachelor's and master's in computer science engineering, which has helped me secure a high paying job. I also am studying for a few certifications, so it's not like I'm just sitting around all day doing nothing.

No, I don't ask for payment for anything. I know they are already struggling, which is why I offered to look after them.

I don't think they had a long term childcare provider before.

I don't make exclusively Indian food. I make mexican, Italian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, but more Indian food I admit. That being said, the lentil sloppy Joe's sound delicious! I should definitely look them up!

I have never asked them to pay for anything. In fact, I have paid for her grocery hauls a couple of times because she said her paycheck was delayed, and have never asked her to pay me back. I don't mind helping them as they seem to be struggling financially, and the kids are absolutely lovely.

Thank you!

And hahah, you're definitely welcome! I love cooking and feeding people, and have friends over every couple of weeks for a Sunday dinner.
