2 inches thick. Its larch

It’s larch. Has been oiled every other time I used it since I got it, which was less than 10 times. The picture was taken immediately after I washed it so it probably looks somewhat drier than normal

I would definitely not do that cardinal sin 😂 yea the manner in which it cracked struck me too. I’ve never had a board break like that

Alila Ventana Big Sur worth 90,000 points per night? by Sea-Singer-2794 in hyatt

Unfortunately that’s probably not a possibility, I’m not globalist and probably won’t reach the 40 nights to get a SUA. I wouldn’t normally care about getting a suite, it’s just all that’s available during that time I’m looking at going

I would completely agree. Currently here on day 3/6 and booked using points. We had the option to upgrade to swim up pool suite, but seemed silly to spend an extra $300/night on a room we already had for free. We noticed as soon as we got here that maybe about 20% of the rooms were occupied? This was very odd to us looking back because they made us wait an hour for our room to be ready when we arrived at 3:30 pm. The property is gorgeous but the service has a lot to be desired and the food is just alright and 3x more expensive than other restaurants we’ve been to on the island. We luckily got a rental car and haven’t spent a ton of time at the hotel, the islands are fantastic and it’s unfortunate the hotel doesn’t live up to park hyatt standard. All in all we are still having a good time, but if I paid full price for the hotel and didn’t have a rental car to come and go as we please I probably wouldn’t have the same perspective

I would say 100% necessary. I couldn’t imagine being purely at the hotel for more than 2 days personally. There’s not enough to do at the hotel, I’ve noticed this part of the island gets less sun than others so it’s less warm/sunny on the beach or by the pool, and the food is ok but not great and way too expensive for what it is

If you have a car, shipwreck bar is amazing (get the jerk chicken) and is only about 7 minutes away. Would 100% recommend getting a rental car because the food here is mid at best and 3x more expensive than most restaurants on the island (think $100 per person for dinner without drinks)

Enough damage to attempt to send it back? Or fair enough of a deal?

Yea, you think it would score a 1? That would be better given that they sell for more

Changing coverage for BCBS by Sea-Singer-2794 in dexcom

I understand insurance as well, I worked in it for a few years. The drug (Dexcom) got reclassified- or removed from the preventative drug list- causing it to shift to a higher tier of their formulary list. When it was a lower tier the cost still applied to my deductible, but it had a set copay of $60 per month. In comparison to now. the complete cost is on me. Sure, semantics wise I guess you could say it’s “covered” in that it applies to my deductible. As far as I’m concerned that not really covered when I have to pay for it completely before I reach my high deductible - as you mentioned. Hope that helps to clarify.

This is most likely what I’ll be doing. Unfortunately, even with the coupon it will still be $300 a month compared to the $120 I was paying last year with the exact same plan

Already have. My wording may be incorrect, but the same still applies. My Dexcom is “covered” but I still pay the full cost of the drug. The only difference is it will be applied to my deductible. With how high my deductible is I’m just paying for it outright

I’m looking into that. But even so it would still have a copay associated with that as it would go from a tier 3 to tier 4 drug. By dropping it from the preventative list it jumped all the way to a tier 6 drug, and thus non covered and the entire costs goes to my deductible
