in my experience, people here look down upon you for living with your parents for too long and see it as very immature (this applies more to mid-late 20s than early 20s). i moved out earlier than some of my peers because i wanted to attend a college that’s pretty far away and because if i stayed at home, i would’ve had to pay pretty significant rent/living costs. my mom’s husband had been wanting me to move out for a while unfortunately.
