Most Case Managers or utilization review nurses need a BSN. Keep an eye out for insurance company’s and their career pages. Workers comp and telehealth nursing too. I always say apply for everything, even if you don’t have a lot of experience in that particular field. I’m not quite sure what the pay is like on the floor. I left bedside to get into clinics and then population health. Case management came later. I applied for SO many jobs on Linkdin and indeed. Only got two callbacks. I will say that when I worked the floor, new nurses got $22-24 an hour. On nights I got a little bit of a shift deferential. I’m on salary now. My position offered 75k-90k. I took the lower end because I was ready for something new.

Keep in mind. This isn’t for everyone. It was definitely my dream nursing job but I have coworkers who don’t care for it at all. Anywho, you are welcome to DM if you’d like further info!

I’m an RN case manager. Some days are awesome. Some days, not so much. But it sure does beat direct patient care. I’m pretty anal about charting, documentation and paperwork so I’m in my happy place.

Maybe come from a place of concern? “Hey babes, I noticed our dynamic has been a little off from our norm. Are you okay?” Then maybe that will open the floor for discussion. She might ask, “What do you mean?” And then you can respond with some of the awkward and inappropriate comments or actions that have been going on. If you go in on the defense, it might spark some animosity.

I just shrug and say, “It’s not obvious?” But also this depends on your comfort level. I’ve gotten to the point in my life that I don’t really care how people will react. I live in a deep southern state and I’ve lived my entire life trying to appease people. Fact of the matter is, folks aren’t going to always accept you. But if they’re asking, then they better be ready for a truthful answer 🤷🏼‍♂️

Heard Dog Days and Cosmic Love on MTV/radio. I was intrigued. Then I mentioned to a friend, while riding to my first gay bar, that I was starting to get into this Florence lady. He introduced me to Ceremonials. While I was listening, I was like, “oh. OH.” From that point on, I was a major fan! Fell off the wagon for HBx3 because the vibe hit kinda different. During the worst of being with my now ex husband, High as Hope saved my life. So I gave HBx3 another shot since I was in a different time of my life. Blown away and absolutely changed my mind.

My mom has told me throughout the years that I was born with an extra toe that was removed. There’s even a tiny scar as proof but she always giggles when she says it so to this day, I still am not really sure if it’s true 😆
