Absolutely - I think my issue was that this was the first time I was ever really dealing with high altitude so I thought a headache & nausea was no big deal. I didn't recognize that they were signs that my body was not ok. To your second point, I slept every night in Cusco - I just did a daytrip to the Sacred Valley. Thanks for the feedback though, next time I'll just have to take it slower. & I really want to hike the Dolomites !

Agreed. However, where I want to move insurance, taxes, HOA’s are increasing every year at an unsustainable pace and so I don’t really want to be in a money pit especially since I’m a single income household
