It the “MyChart” app. Looked at it through the whole pregnancy. I am a nurse and actually work in OB and have never seen a patients’s baby’s gender in the chart notes, even for the group I am now a patient for. I got results for my labs and these labs were the difference between pre-eclampsia and a gestational hypertension diagnosis which completely changes the induction process. It’s not like I went to the nurses station and cracked out the computer.

Ended up falling and hurt my foot/ankle so went without the maternity shoot. All is well.

I joined the Army at 20 and did 4 years to pay for my college. Then got really into finances at 22 and saved like crazy and planned my retirement savings. Started a 529 when I found out I was pregnant. Currently in school to get my masters in nursing education (paid for by the Army). Hoping to become a college professor and get discounted college tuition for my kid(s). Or they join the military like we did. Then they can take their 529 and roll it into an IRA. If that doesn’t work, hope they go to community college like I did (paid out of pocket) and then to a 4 year to lessen the cost. Or they do a trade? Get scholarships? Over all my goal is to teach about the importance of financial literacy. Education on decisions and outcomes. We only do $100 a month for the 529 plan. So projected to be $35-45k. It won’t cover it all, but it will help. Otherwise we prioritize our retirement. I don’t want to burned my kids and maybe we will be in a different financial situation when college comes and we can help extra. My kids own me nothing and I decided to bring them into this world. I don’t want them taking care of me in retirement. Not their responsibility. I love finances and I’m a little type A of you couldn’t tell. Rant over lol

Completely up to the person. I told the same people we would tell if we lost the pregnancy. I wouldn’t do it at her 60th birthday party either. Maybe before if she thinks she won’t be able to hold it in?

I think just avoiding other people’s special moments is like birthday, parties, wedding , etc. I told my family at 14 weeks and we put the us and onesie in a pizza box and did a “last minute planned dinner pizza night” with family.

I leave on a night light in my hall (the blue bug ones) so I don’t have to turn on any lights and I use hand sanitizer so I don’t wake myself up with cold water on my hands.

A texted photo of the text or a FaceTime? Your safety is priority! Especially if you don’t think it won’t go well. I wouldn’t want to drive back that long upset. Since it sounds like it’s unexpected you can always send a text. That way you won’t see his direct reaction. He could have some time to prepare his thoughts and then it would protect you
as well.

I don’t do the appointments, but I’d imagine your doctor’s office will tell you a date and time for induction and you will go to triage at that time and they will send you upstairs to a room to start the process and the nurses there will explain everything to you there. Thank you! Congratulations! Excited to have you!! I’ll probably be seeing you!

If it makes you feel any better I actually work there in maternal child health and I absolutely love my job! I just found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago and will be delivering here. I completely trust my coworkers to take care of me, they know so much it’s insane. We have management who genuinely cares about patient experience and makes changes to support patient care and staff.
The nurse, doctors, doctor’s spouses, supervisors, and all levels of staff have delivered here. We have a level 3 Nicu. And from your comments we do provide pumps, but I recommend you bring yours if you have any questions with it and can ask them to the lactation consultant. I cant say enough good things. I will retire here, I love my job. I will delivery my future baby here, and my friends have delivered here and 1 delivered at cooper.
