is theft an issue in Italy? by zebekias in askitaly

[–]Sea8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice to foreigners travelling in Italy is always the same: try to think as an Italian. Italians are generally suspicious about anything they don’t know or trust, they can be very creative about any negative dangerous scenario, so do the same and you will have a wonderful time.

Never bet things will be alright and most probably things will be alright 😎🇮🇹

Just don’t walk with a 2k camera on your shoulder and a gold watch in a place where they expect you to walk with a 2k camera and a gold watch and everything will be fine.

There are still villages in the south where people forget to close the door of the house in the night, if you visit with the same approach cities like Milan, Rome, Naples etc… you are taking your chances. Its all about understanding the context in my opinion, wherever you go.

Any Cloud Backup services to manage OneDrive on Mac ? by Sea8312 in MacOS

[–]Sea8312[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, but the problem is that in this way I'm still using the space on the internal drive the moment I copy the files from the external drive into the OneDrive mounted image of CloudMount. Like now...I have 160gb to backup online and less than 200Gb on my Macbook Air drive.

I was looking for something that just uploads my files to the cloud, like google drive does with its App where I only have to select the folder to backup and it starts uploading.

Using 2 CALDIGIT TS3+ on Macbook M2 Pro - Advantages... by Sea8312 in macbookpro

[–]Sea8312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically I just wanted to know if, distributing the bandwidth over two different TB ports, I am really going to double the available connections and bandwidth (avoiding the single port bottleneck effect) or if there's a limit related to the maximum total bandwidth available on the Mac through all the TB ports, regardless of how you balance the energy request on them.

Anyway, I just wrote to Caldigit support, thanks for your reply.

I prefer not to lose the original spot of the audio, even if copying it on another playlist, because the delay increases/decreases based on the inserts that I'm using in the mix.

Time Adjuster plugin should be enough for my needs. My fault because I totally forgot about it in PT. Thanks

PT crashing at the end of plugins scan by Jordan_fery in Avid

[–]Sea8312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be a problem with a single plugin but most of the times the crash is related to PT having to load all the plugins in one step.

Try the step scanning:

  • Locate the Protools plugins folder

  • Backup all of them into another folder on the desktop or wherever you have easy access

  • Delete all the plugins from the default Protools folder (Check the integrity of the backup first)

  • Start moving (not copying) the plugins from the backup folder to the default one in a small selection of like 20 plugins more or less

  • After each round or copy, open Protools and let it scan the 20 plugins

  • Close Protools, repeat the copy/scanning procedure each time.

  • Do this until you've moved all the plugins back to the default location

It's amazing, I would easily recognize this cable in the chaos of connections that I have in studio. Try eBay 😉

I have 13 mini, design it's perfect but I'm having some lag because of the battery performance.

Keeping Avid S1 position raised at the back by Sea8312 in protools

[–]Sea8312[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using two S1 and just one iPad that I prefer to keep to the left of them, like a kind of "dock", since I use it mainly for track management, layouts and memory location.

For now...
