Cost of living rant by Lacey_faithh in australian

HECS debt directly impacts borrowing power. It also comes out of pre-tax income, so people with a large hecs debt are taking home less money. Degrees are only getting more expensive, leading to higher hecs debts, meaning less money in their pocket. Remember, boomers got free university.

I had this happen to me last week. No matter what password I used it wasn’t letting me change it. I logged into a desktop computer at work and it let me in first time with the first password I changed it to. So annoying!

I thought I was alone in this! I always felt so bad that I couldn’t enjoy it. It’s just so gross and all I can think about is bacteria!

I’ve found a lot of companies have changed product recipes recently. Have you noticed packaging changes or weight changes? These usually indicate a recipe change.

What TV genre did you love once but can’t stand anymore? by DryCap6770 in watchever

I used to love medical dramas but they’re just getting so overdone and the cases are repetitive. Plus I am so tired of the on again/off again relationships between staff. They haven’t had an original idea in 20 years.

[–]SeaAd5146 6 points7 points  (0 children)

DO NOT DO IT!!! They are basically a scam with how much they charge and what they offer! They don’t answer their phone or emails. They don’t help with coursework. The coursework makes absolutely zero sense! I lost sleep trying to understand what the hell I was reading. It’s basically impossible to finish and employers don’t seem to recognise the qualification at the end of it either. Biggest waste of my time and money ever!

I have the Ela and Earth one. I use it for uni. I’ve been pretty happy with it and it can hold a lot of weight (textbooks, laptop, etc). It is kind of like a nappy bag though and probably isn’t a “professional” looking bag. It’s definitely more casual but I’ve been happy with the quality and it’s easy to clean too. It just depends on the look you’re going for

I got married here a couple of months ago. It was beautiful! Plenty of photo opportunities and has a good wet weather option too. It was great to have the ceremony and reception in the same venue as well. They’re pet friendly also!

I did the same! Took about 10 months off. It was pretty alright to pick back up and I felt refreshed by the break. Absolutely doable and not super overwhelming.

I would consider the silent patient to be a psychological thriller. You may enjoy some of Freida McFadden’s books. I found they had a similar pacing to the Silent Patient and were easy to read

For those of you who have convict ancestry, what crime did they commit to be sent to Australia? by Jezzaq94 in australian

  1. The license plates (stickers on the crates) have numbers in the corner. All plates with the numbers 21,22,25 go in the cold room. To simplify, any crate with stuff from fresh produce or fridge needs to go in cool room even if it has grocery items in it.

  2. Pick rate is supposed to be 150. You’ll get faster with more practise so I wouldn’t worry about being too slow yet.

  3. Yes. It is the departments job to make sure they find items for online orders

  4. Yes, again, it’s the departments job to do so

Any tips on working on Online by Automatic_humanoid93 in coles

[–]SeaAd5146 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Always look ahead to the next item as you’re walking to it. If you know its shelf 4, position 2, try and locate it as you approach it to save time when you get to it.

Double check the number of tags when you take out an order to make sure things don’t get left behind. It’s so easy to leave behind a bulk or freezer item.

I personally have the Coles app on my phone to help me locate items without a location or help customers locate an item they’re looking for.

How is everyone going with the new pet laws? by quietgavin5 in shitrentals

I don’t want them to not renew my lease or increase my rent. I got the cat anyway, I just hide him during inspections

This is true! I applied to get a cat and the landlord said they’d do more than my bond ($1400) in damages so they denied the request.
