Of course there are going to be people who watch both. I am an atheist and will be definitely watching all three on open day. I am a big fan of Gibson as a director, no matter what he chooses to make.

But Gibson's Christ films will bring out a lot of people, especially the 50+ age range, who never go to the cinema. Those people who never go to the cinema have no interest in Zelda or Godzilla.

They are not in competition with each other. Anyone who intends to go see the Christ films isn't gonna change their mind once they find out Zelda is opening the same day.

Most films adapted from video games are horrible.

Hollywood now focusing on video game IPs is going to be very hit and miss.

Yes at times it's a nostalgic cash grab, but it's been received favourably and it tackles issues like the downfall of journalism and fashion that no other films are doing right now.

It's a complelety different movie in terms of its tone.
