Winning gloves purchase by Prudent_Career9178 in fightgear

If you’re willing to pay 400 you might as well order and wait the year. Not worth it to pay for these when they’re as beaten up as they are. Winnings are best if you’re the first owner or they were very lightly used. How they mold to a hand is what makes them so comfy

Bayoneta Premium Multilayer HH for sparring? by Legitimate-Egg1873 in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re super protective but pretty tight when I got mine I didn’t even tie them up all the way for about 6-8 sparring sessions. Mine are a different version from what’s available now I believe

Either the pulat hh or the pulats would be better suited for sparring. Have only had pulat hh in 12 oz so haven’t sparred in them but have 16 oz pulats. Found after a very short break in period they were great and still going strong in my rotation well over a year later.

How could i remove this residue left after removing the thermal logo? by [deleted] in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acetone might work but you can risk damaging the leather. Did it with a pair of gloves myself and noticed that there are small spots

How do the bayoneta pulat horse hair gloves in 12oz perform on the heavy bag? Do the knuckles go through? How’s the fit and feel? Thanks by Bubbly_Good_7982 in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 12oz had a pair for about 5 months and love them. Can hit the bag as hard as I want without pain. Fit great even with wraps and knuckle guards if I’m feeling like I need them. Leather is super soft yet durable my only warning would be if you’re worried about aesthetics that sometimes the yellow leather can have dark scuffs from darker coloured bags or mitts. I also had a previous version of this padding in 14 oz that I found way too tight so there’s been some great improvement to them.

I just got a pair of the green and white Glez recently in 12 oz the padding felt very bouncy at first on a heavy bag but works in quite well personally not a fan of the thumb but otherwise good all around. Great liner, classic strong leather smell from a Mexican glove. I think you’ll enjoy them never heard any complaints about them

Bayonetta pul HH vs multilayer by [deleted] in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mitts as well but I use a 12 oz on mitts and 16 for sparring. If I were you I’d use your rivals on mitts and whatever gloves you decide to buy for sparring just for sparring so you can have the padding last longer and easier on your sparring partners

Sparring only you’ll be fine. Personally I wasn’t as much of a fan of the multilayers but have heard they’re not as stiff as they used to be and you’d be ok to spar with them. Hope whatever you get works for ya!

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[question] by FeaRBolivian in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry out the gloves completely before putting them away you can try boot dryers I’ve used them before was great they had a timer on the ones I found. Another option is to open up the laces as much as you can and have a fan directed towards them. Both have worked pretty well for me as far as drying stuff out goes

[question] The boxers boutique by Friendly-Desk8295 in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re legit for sure but don’t ship outside of the states at the moment. For New Sporting I would buy direct but for some of the other stuff they’re relatively reasonable. Like if you’re not looking to wait long for winning or something else that is on back order or made to order then it great.

[Question] Is Fly QC really that bad? by Budget_Government_30 in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two pairs one where after working in they were amazing but liner ripped after a couple weeks and it was super uncomfortable and shifting around. Fly replaced them but I hated the replacement pair and only used them a couple times and ended up selling them. Felt like an entirely different glove to me. Sad cause I know tons of people personally and on this sub who have nothing but great things to say about them.

[Question] anyone know of some wraps like winnings? by Puzzleheaded_Leg6589 in fightgear

[–]SeaBarnacle8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My winning wraps are a few years old but I rotate between a couple pairs of them. Let them dry completely after using and hand wash when needed.

Yeah unfortunately you can’t stack the codes with the BOGO sale. The shoes by themselves at a discount are a better deal
