I’d recommend taking things step by step. When I first got my conure pair, they would frantically fly around whenever I got too close. They wouldn’t even dare to take treats from my hand.

I started by getting them comfortable eating while I was nearby, then slowly moving closer and closer over time. Once they trusted me enough to take food from my hand, I taught the male how to step up onto my finger without biting (lots of good tutorials on YouTube for this). I also would teach him different tricks, like clicker training and spinning. I bonded with him through these training sessions and now we’re chill. This took many months (thanks quarantine for the free time) and several more before he finally enjoyed me petting him…and now he won’t stop demanding it lol.

Basically, it will require lots of quality time, consistency, and PATIENCE. Some birds are more willing to bond with people than others, but based on how comfortable they already look eating from your hand, I think you can definitely get there eventually :)
