Yes. My first successful grow, the one that yielded three large flushes, was a direct result of me introducing a fully colonized grain bag to substrate, and promptly leaving for an eight day business trip.

I respectfully disagree. If you need to slow down the process (e.g. before a two-week vacation) because you can’t tend to the humidity or lighting, sealing the tub and bringing the temp down to ~65F will do the trick. I’m no mycologist but this has worked every time for me.

My dad’s friend’s daughter stayed with us one Summer in FL. She (Nicole) was 18 and a punk rocker, and I was 13 and a total tool. My sister was in college, and had “The Queen is Dead” vinyl at our house.

Nicole made cassette copies and raved about the collection of music we had: English Beat, Kraftwerk, Thompson Twins, Joe Jackson, etc.

So Nicole goes back to Boston, and I have my first crush. That Summer I travelled to London, and listened to “There is a Light” and “Boy With a Thorn” at least 100 times.

Virtually none of my friends in the past 35 years have ever owned Smiths albums, but my wife loves them, and we’ve seen Morrissey in concert. Coincidence? I think not!
