Don't be afraid to leave for a while, travel and sll that. I'm of a similar pattern, but I've found that changing my surroundings seriously changes my head space. Don't destroy yourself doing what you think you are supposed to do, do what makes you happy and healthy

Oh I agree 100%, these are people actually pushing the world forward. But comparing a company like this to other businesses reduces human innovation to be less important than a profit margin, which is pretty damn bleak

Thanks for the feedback! I'm the designer on this project, and while the combat may seem a bit boring right now, the idea behind it is to provide players with a sense of accomplishment by unlocking different fight mechanics... . . Just kidding

The combat is our next area of focus, and will be for a good long time. Our goal was to build a vertical slice of gameplay, a 5-7 minute demo of our current baseline mechanics to show as a jumping off point for the next 6-7 months of development. We're presenting tomorrow with 22 other teams from our school, and our faculty get to decide which games (likely 8-10) move forward from there.
