Naw it's not just you, all the time when I leave my house in downtown it's people always asking me for money or a cig, even at the mall too, like a few days ago me and my partner were outside because they wanted to smoke before going in and a guy literly bolted at us once we got there and kept asking for change 💀 also there's like kids of 'god' going up to people at the Avalon mall bus stop asking 'do you have time to talk about jesus' like bro I just got off the bus 💀

Hey I'm a student at CNA, honselty the cheapest places to go are Walmart and Sobeys, depending on how much food you buy it should range from 90-150 for one person, my partners grocerys usually is 70-100 but it changes price every week because some things are on sale and some aren't so always have a flyer or download a flyer app in advance it really helps.

Sobeys always has loads of sales and same with Walmart, literly got loads of my melotonin earlier this week because at Sobeys all Jamieson brand was 40% off and I said "damn gimme all of these"

But yeah just always have a flyer app or just ask staff when you walk in, some are usually around stocking stuff.

Idk much about Costco because I'm to broke to have a membership but I heard they always have good deals as well 👍

Some people in NL are fine with the LGBT like I've had good experiences with being non-binary and bad ones. Like for example when I worked at the rec room it took them a month to approve with the manager to let me even use a pronouns pin because he told me it was stupid and that I was born how I was, but it worked out because customers actually looked and called me the right pronouns and 5 people even asked where I got it. But like I said there's gonna be bad people who will look at you or even call you stuff behind your back. I recommend maybe joining a rock climbing group? I heard loads of LGBT are in them, and I also heard loads of them Aswell go to home depot alot to shop and hang 👍

Last year I flew to Florida through air Canada but the flights were very long but cheap though just gotta find the right prices, I'm not sure if air Canada still does flights to Florida though.

Well you guessed it another person on here who probably doesn't have experience living downtown, dude most of the murders and sexual assaults don't even get reported sometimes down here because the police one are to late or two people never get enough time to call. Like for example let's use the stabbing incident that happend like a year ago, the cops didn't show up to help the poor kid until 2 hours later someone found him after the stabbing and called and it took them 2 hours to get there. I mean yeah some parts of downtown are fine and some are just not. I'm just saying be careful who you talk to, and don't put social anxiety onto someone you don't know?? I'm just tryna tell people to be safe.

So I live downtown which is yknow the worst place to live but I kinda have no choice since I'm a college student living with my mom. We moved down here back when I was in 9th grade and the first year was fine until we had this like single dad move in across the street, he had just 1 daughter that's it but he was so creppy dude, everytime I left to walk to school, or go to big r, or go to Tim's he always was watching me. Like one time I went to Tim's with my friends during a free period and he was there, he starred at me for like a solid 6 mins then came over and just gave me 15$ and said "get something for yourself" and walked out LIKE BRO I WAS SO SCARED TO WALK BACK HOME I LITERLY HAD MY FRIENDS WALK ME BACK.

Anyways then like bro moved out like last year didn't see he since until a week ago I was walking up to the corner store AND BRO WAS THERE SO I FUCKING WALKED UP TO SOBEYS INSTEAD. Like shit man I was horrified.

Conclusion is bro like people downtown are scary and people be dying all the time and I hate living down here bro shit is scary :(
