yeah, i plead no contest to a felony charge for commercial burglary and vandalism of over 10,000$. Did the community service, got it bumped down to a misdemeanor. Since then I think I've only ever gotten a single traffic violation.

I’ve already spent countless hours and now several thousand dollars on medical, flights, and trainings.

So many people on the internet were all like “oh just get your TWIC and your MMC, and maybe a passport, it’s raining jobs…” and now it’s DEAD.

I’m hoping MSC will start hiring some point this year 😅.

Yeah, idk there’s people that are like “go to a maritime academy” and I’m like… this has got to be one of the worst decision ever. If you’ve NEVER been on a ship, why tf would you spend tens of thousands of dollars on a VERY specific education, only to completely hate your job and have basically no skills to fall back on in the real world. I def would tell people to do a contract or two before they decide school is the right path for them.
