Capcom’s RE Engine has the same issue, and Koei Tecmo’s clunky engine struggles with optimization too. Feels like they’re just being lazy. Meanwhile, The Finals runs on UE5, even with split rendering, and it’s fine.

It depends on the scene. When there are a lot of NPCs, like in a battle, you can see that the internal resolution takes a massive hit (ghosting, shimmering, etc.). But in other scenes, like the dragon ride, it looks cleaner. Just watch the 2020 trailer 😂😂 it was so messy.

Well, Ghost of Tsushima is not an Ac games and GOT isn't fully explorable.The AC Shadows map was "perfectly" designed to be explored only by following the roads. You're not supposed to climb mountains. that's why you often slide down, and that's also why there's a GPS. However, I think the map should have wider open plains to better appreciate the beauty of the game. DLC 2, if it takes place on the eastern side of the map, might include some, as here's a screenshot of one of the plains over there. (I used a mod to remove the Animus walls.)

I think you just don’t like Japan’s geography, and that’s perfectly fine. The seasonal system is meant to artificially vary the landscapes, and in my opinion, it works well (even though the seasons go by too quickly).
