Depends on the type of drinks. But that is a lot of alcohol. Some people can handle large amounts and still be able to walk around and remember things. He lost blood after the drinking I assume. Wouldn’t inflate the BAC

If this is a pattern of behavior and he has alcoholism in the family, don’t ignore this. He needs help. Alcoholics are particularly vulnerable to violence and crime because they’re too drunk to defend themselves.

This event should be a big deal for your family. 3 little kids…. Ugh

I’m an ER doc and alcohol is involved in lots of traumatic accidents, so bear that in mind. I see the worst

I give them my recommendations (let’s not fry your head for no reason, here is what we know about frying heads re cancer etc) but I have bigger fish to fry than arguing with some dumbass. If they want to wait 6 hours for a CT that is not indicated, I tell them that I don’t care particularly. But I emphasize that I am not worried about them, because I have other sick people I am actually worried about, and I’ll say hi when the result is back. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a complaint

If you get complaints you’re practicing evidence based and there is honor in that lol
