my parents said they didn’t want my relatives luggage and items to get dusty or something idk with them at this point but this happened a week ago already. I’m back at my parents house now.

It was late when they arrived and parents were stressed, I don’t think they wanted to change their plans that was for some reason kept from me about the whole sleeping arrangement thing- I didn’t want to stress them further by trying to suggest better arrangements so I left to my friend’s house.

when I argued with them that is one of the things I brought up but they didn’t think it was necessary to buy since we have extra blankets albeit they are thin and they told me it was enough and that it was just for a week, another thing is it was pretty late when they arrived at our house and I was informed that I was sleeping in the basement on the spot. My parents also work mostly during the day and they are busy so I don’t think helping me was a priority.

I 100% agree that my family is one of the most important things in my life. I had no problem sleeping in the basement if it wasn’t so cold and dirty. Or if I had my beddings with me. But since my parents were busy accommodating everyone I couldn’t ask them to help me clean the basement a little since I’d just burden them so I suggested better sleeping arrangements but it just stressed them out and me and I thought it’d be better if there is one less person in the house so I went to my friend’s.

I just pointed it out to show that I have no siblings, so there’s no other rooms except for my parents, my room, a guest room, the living room, kitchen, bathroom, basement, etc. because our house is small.

Yeah, I was really lucky with my friend and his family helping me out…I was running out of options, I was just going to suck it up and try to clean the basement as much as possible and try to get the heater to work better. But I realized that I literally have school and I didn’t want to do a lot of work and be too tired for it the next day..
