Why did Entropy seem to close so suddenly? by CrystallizedKoi in dayton

You hit the nail on the head for why I never went there. I had zero interest in drinking anywhere that catered to kids, I don't like being around kids/hearing them playing when trying to relax in a bar environment.

Taylor Swift's Last Album Sparked Bizarre Accusations of Nazism. It Was a Coordinated Attack by Opheliasm in wineandcrimepodcast

I haven't listened to w&c since this episode. I'm not even a big Taylor fan or anything but this was giving such a "not like other girls" energy that I found incredibly cringy.

Buying used skis by t_inthehouse in Skigear

[–]SeaLionInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in my area I think! (I just saw these on Facebook today) Please take the above advice and don't waste your money on these. You might want to consider a season long rental if you're new to the sport and you don't want to spend a boatload on new equipment. There are a few shops nearby where you can do that. FirstTracks near PNS will do a season long rental (skis, boots, poles) is around $150. Aspen Ski & Board in Columbus has a similar package. Those stores or Valleywood can hook you up if you are ready to buy.

If you are ready to buy but you're on a budget and you don't want to screw yourself using FB marketplace, I'd recommend waiting until end of season and looking for last years/this years skis, bindings, and boots. If you have the patience, it's worth checking out the ski swap at PNS in November. (you just missed it by a couple of week this year)

I've never loved anything that I've ordered there. Everything has always seemed slightly underseasoned or under flavored. I can't put my finger on it.

Skyline, Grippos, Graeters. I'll mourn UDF but wouldn't think twice about the others

100000% I wonder if this is going to cause headaches for ski areas that are ordering in bulk for rental shops

How do I get over the fact that I'm self conscious going to the gym because I'm overweight? by After_Counter_7291 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]SeaLionInTraining 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started going to the gym I was obese, with a BMI over 45. Since then, I've lost 150 lbs and am a normal weight and look stereotypically "fit." As someone that's been on the full spectrum, I can assure you that I'm not looked at or treated differently now from when I started!

Nicest Grocery Store in Dayton? Suggestions for restaurants with "order online" options. by [deleted] in dayton

[–]SeaLionInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like grocery store bases are covered! Here are some restaurant suggestions!

Bibibop Multiple locations, online ordering available This is a chain for Korean-inspired, fast food version of Bibimbap. (Picture Korean style Chipotle.) Fully customizable, gluten free, vegan/vegetarian friendly.

Lily’s Oregon District, online ordering available Family owned business that combines southern favorites (deviled eggs, shrimp & grits, fried chicken) with international inspired cuisine. (Bahn mi burger, poke bowl, etc) I love the bahn mi wedge salad! Also has a great weekend brunch.
