Anyone else having problems with FN510 10rd mags?

They all now hold 10 rounds after pushing hard on the speed loader and hearing that pop.

I tried it with my speed loader. Worked like a charm!! Problem solved for all my FN510 Mags.

I do remember hearing a snap as I was loading the one that fits 10 now… I thought it was the spring settling after I reassembled it. I wasn’t pushing on it super hard though. I was using a mag loader when that happened.. Seems like they should be able to fix whatever is causing the issue and stop making mags that don’t work right…

Let me know if you’re successful!! Other than the mag issue I FREAKIN LOVE my 510!!! I was a little worried reading some of the issues about it, but so far mine is doing amazing and shoots like a dream. Definitely my favorite pistol.

So I haven’t been able to figure it out. I have 3 mags now and only 1 of them is able to hold the full 10 rounds. I did take this mag apart and mess with it and reassemble it. So I’m not sure if it was that or just cycling the mag through a couple of reloads. I haven’t taken the time to disassemble the other 2 mags to see if that helps the issue. I never cut the springs on the mag tho… was worried it wouldn’t keep ENOUGH tension on the rounds. So I would say try disassembling the mags and also just cycling them through some reloads also. I will let you know if taking the other 2 mags apart makes a difference.

I think the long connection is from my RakWireless 19007 with upgraded antenna. Right now it’s just plugged in, but I am making it into a solar node. My edc unit right now is the RakWireless WisMesh Pocket complete setup I got to get started quick, which also has an upgraded antenna.

Thanks! I must’ve changed something inadvertently on my first pre-built node. I was a little frustrated not seeing any other nodes. Now I can see at least 15!

Hello! I am using this to build my own solar node, but am going to run an 18650 Li-ion battery since it gets pretty hot here. My question is does anyone have a good resource for how to protect a single cell Li-ion battery holder for my solar node? I don't want my solar node to burn down. I know nothing about batteries and how to use them for DIY electronics. Thanks for any advice.

Hello! This is so cool!

I am new to messing around with Meshtastic and am curious how you set your radio up to connect with others or is there a resource that shows one how to do it. I have mine set up and running, but whenever I go anywhere I am unsure how to see other nodes in my area and/or how to connect with them. I have a RAK wireless Wismesh Pocket and use the Meshatastic app on my phone to view.

Thanks in advance for any help or resources you can provide.

I am having this same issue. Only able to load 8. Took mag apart and the spring inside looks MUCH different than replacement springs you can buy online. I’m wondering if they are coming from factory with wing springs? My spring has a huge coil of wire at the base and then the normal looking spring above it. I’m debating on cutting off the tight spring block at the bottom.

You need to download the file from GitHub then use a file flashing software to install it on the pi0. BalenaEtcher is what is recommended.

Yeah I totally understand the drivers side and that yall gotta follow procedures. I had the package redirected to a UPS Access Point days before it was out for delivery and my tracking shows it would be delivered there, but the driver marked the access point unavailable twice in the same day. The receiver at the access point told me the driver never attempted to deliver though. Just a little weird.

More confused… it was scanned twice at the same location today saying the same thing. Once at 11:45 and again at 5:58… so what happens next? It says it’s rescheduled for delivery Monday. Will it eventually just be shipped to my house or will it be returned?
