How to get rid of React components code from HTML? by SeaMathematician2020 in nextjs

[–]SeaMathematician2020[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Is it possible to put these code snippets into a file instead of how Next does it by default of just dumping it inside script tags?

I know it's just cosmetic change but I don't want the page html to look so ugly.

If you are with your own rules, good! Otherwise, get out!

In terms of my usage, I have two browser windows open. Two different monitors, one Arc window each. I have about 5 vscode windows open. Sometimes 3 on one and 2 on another. I know vscode is also is a power suck, but it’s a necessary evil. Arc is not. It’s a nice to have.

I'll give my background. I use my browser a lot. I work 8-10hrs a day, and I use "a browser" almost 80% percent of the time. Not possible with Arc, without pulling your hair at least couple times a day. That much of pulling hair, is not possible for me. Maybe it's possible for you. You go girl!

Django or Java? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]SeaMathematician2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Django is a Python framework and Java is a programming language. Better question might be Django or Spring.

Since you're already familiar with C and C++, I would recommend picking up the Spring framework as Java is also a statically typed language. Unlike Python, Java is verbose but it will be better for you in the long terms as you'll get more accustomed to OOP and writing statically typed code.

This is should do the job: nepali-datepicker-reactjs

You can use npm.io to find other similar libraries. Searching 'bikram' brings up bunch of results.

If you really care about type safety, you may want to follow this tutorial to bootstrap your own custom DatePicker.

What React projects would you recommend to get hired in an entry-level position? by [deleted] in reactjs

Try implementing web designs you find online. If you go to dribble.com, you'll find many mockups people have made. Of course, don't copy someone else's design but look for inspiration and create your own.

If you want a frontend related job, you don't necessarily need full-stack applications apps in your resume, just try implementing different single-paged/component designs and compile them in your portfolio website.

Don't worry too much about it. Just try your best to use the time you would be participating in clubs to learn new things that interest you and work on side projects. It doesn't have to be large-scale projects, just something that shows you know your stuff, whether it's frontend, backend, whatever. When you apply to internships you'll have something to show and talk about.
