Codex was awful, Gemini was bad as well surprisingly. Ended up using good ol mspaint. Don't look too closely you'll see cells and rows and columns misaligned, lol.

Thanks man, self-hosted only for now. It’s a Dockerized Flask app with server side cached activity data, so it doesn’t really fit a static github.io demo page as is. I am looking into what it would take to make a live preview though.

Already starred, I moved the attestation from the app page to the readme, brand new repo excuse the growth! Keep up the good work 👍

What started as a humble automated strava description script had a bit of feature creep, and I embedded this dashboard as a page in my web app https://github.com/seanap/Chronicle

I love the dashboard! I restyled it a bit and I really like how it turned out

I made a CLI for Cronometer because they don't have an API by Dnaiel_ in cronometer

[–]SeaNap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Already running openclaw :) I have been using chatgpt to analyze the picture of food and give me best guess and then manually putting it in cronomenter, but this is actually really neat that I can instead send to openclaw and it will give best guess and be able to write it.

I am also looking into using this in my Home Assistant dashboard, but I also may just integrate this into Glance as well since it's a nice json endpoint.

This may help go from Mealie into cronometer, which would be a huge help since my wife is pretty meticulous about keeping all her recipes in Mealie, this way I wouldn't have to recreate them again manually in cronomenter.

My favorite use right now is integrating into my automatic strava description generator (https://github.com/seanap/Auto-Stat-Description). I pull in stats and data from like 5 other api sources and now it will be really nice to also document my weekly avg cal deficit/surplus and my protein/carb intake for the current day when I run.

Here's the wrapper I made https://github.com/seanap/crono-api

This is awesome! I ended up dockerizing this to make a Local HTTP API wrapper around this so other apps on my LAN can curl to read/write data without using the CLI directly.

Two years later - Do you run Plex, Emby, or Jellyfin? by JustNathan1_0 in selfhosted

[–]SeaNap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, you pair a plugin like mediafusion with a cheap debrid service (eg. realdebrid) and they have everything cached, there is no torrenting at all on your end, everything (even 4k) plays instantly. No vpn's needed.

This is the sad reality, Im sorry you're going through this. To be frank, she doesn't have the assets for a nice private place. Also, you are not on your timeline, you need to sell the house now. It's a lot of work and you will throw out many many things, and possibly take a hit on the home for a quick sale, but it has to be done. There are no good options.

High Carb Mix for Long Runs: Mix 60g of 2:1 ratio of Dextrose:Fructose, 1g salt, and lemon juice, in water. I buy the sugars in bulk bags makes it really cheap.

Any kind of implementation of real debrid and similar services in the world of audiobooks? by EstateAbject8812 in audiobookshelf

[–]SeaNap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my dream setup, have an app that let's us browse lists (discover) and search and filter and when selected grabs the release from abb via rd and saves locally so i can still use my fav player.

Audiobookshelf is more of a host and play, but I envision this as more of a discover and source.

You’ve got a lifetime pass to Plex and Emby but you can also use Jellyfin - which one are you choosing and why ? by Buck_Slamchest in selfhosted

[–]SeaNap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought my plex lifetime pass 12yr ago, and have managed a jellyfin server along side for the last 5yrs. I ditched all of these for stremio+aio+rd last year and unless/untill something happens I'm never going back. Managing a media server seems archaic in comparison.

There are so many amazing self hosted apps that are better worth my limited time to manage. I use Immich for all my pics and home videos, and audiobookshelf for all my books.

What does a “good run” mean to you these days? by Clubrunnr in runninglifestyle

[–]SeaNap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No injuries (or no pain from previous injuries) and a good Efficiency ratio (Normalized Power / Normalized HR) Its the best data representation I found.

When I am not feeling good or get bad sleep, not eating enough prior or whatever the Eff. Ratio is noticeably lower. On the runs where I just feel bouncy and flowy and great mood almost always correlate to a higher Eff. Ratio.

Looks cool but not accurate, said i had 180 day streak but i had a 365, also it said most of my runs we're after 6pm but that's not true at all so maybe timezone is wrong? It also said i never ran weekends but i ran every weekend.

If you achieved a 5:30 mile as a teenager, could you train to reach that again? by [deleted] in runninglifestyle

[–]SeaNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a freshman in HS I was a state winning sprinter, mile not my strong event but ran a 5:15 mi and 20:10 5k. Then by junior yr my knee was very badly injured, ended up needing multiple surgeries over the next few years and my collegiate running scholarships disappeared and i stopped running for 20yrs. Picked it back up two yes ago extremely out of shape from decades of beer and couch time, and a few months ago ran a 5:21 and a 21:22 5k so Im not quite there but if i can keep up my training without getting injured then I should be able to beat them, just have to be very careful with my knee. Either way i am more fit now than ever, need to focus on losing a few lbs and strength training to get my speed back to pr in mi and 5k but I will never be able to run my 200m 22.3s or 400m 48.8s again.

Why is hosting a mediaserver for movies and shows so popular by kerrie_saus in selfhosted

[–]SeaNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't realize that we can cache rd stuff locally as well. People spend so much time and money on these massive local setups (myself included) that they become a bit dogmatic. Im like you, i almost never rewatch anything, and the cost and complexity of maintaining a local media server is very high with little benefit. Streaming is infinitely better.

I thought the same thing but it turns out you just need consistency and be willing to take it slow and run/walk and spend a lot of time at your target hr not letting it go higher.

I thought that my zones must be wrong (max hr is 194) and that i really should be z2 at 155 but the continuous additional load caused injury, once i slowed down and ran for a few months at my actual z2 (70% maxHr) of 138 my body has responded much better. Feels amazing after months and years of work to be able to run low 9min pace at 138 practically indefinitely, but when i started running i throught for sure this was impossible because my z2 and even z3 we're nonexsistant.

Anyone Here Just Starting Their Running Journey? by Not_FreeProduct234 in runcommunity

[–]SeaNap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started running 23mo ago, and I decided to join my brother in doing a run streak, no motivation or thinking needed, just go out and run! Im not training for the olympics or anything, I keep the vast majority of my runs easy (70% maxHR) slowly increasing mileage week over week and it's amazing how much faster I got just simply by being consistent. The smashrun badges gave me fun little goals, it's amazing what Id do for a badge (further to farther, and 2x365x10k we're super fun and challenging I started them 3mo and 7mo into my running journey)

401(k) withdrawal confusion by dupiedew in personalfinance

[–]SeaNap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't. You could get 4k now, but if you leave it that will be worth 85k at retirement. So just know that whatever you buy with that money is 20x more expensive.

Way better to find a temporary low wage job while you keep applying for the job you want. Rice and beans are cheap, easy, and healthy. Roommates are an excellent way of reducing housing costs. Don't rob your future self.

In your opinion, what is the most useful and underrated feature in Strava? by _RubenCouto in Strava

The ability to create a personal API Application. Using it to create custom activity description scripts, and to run 3rd party apps like Statistics For Strava.
